Top 25 Tracks of 2011 Countdown: #03 Swedish House Mafia – Save the World

Easily one of the most widely supported tracks across DJ’s from all genres, ‘Save The World’ was a complete and utter gamechanger for the Swedes. They had already established themselves as a force to be reckoned with, with big room anthems like ‘One’ and ‘Leave The World Behind’, but this tune solidified them as titans. There was a good 4 month span where I could not go see a set without hearing this track or some sort of obnoxious edit. I am not a massive fan of the vocals, and I was rather unimpressed with John Martin’s live performance at Madison Square Garden. Nonetheless, the track is still considered an anthem and is definitely considered “house music of a lasting nature” by any and all authorities that matter (ie- MixMag, DJ Mag, et al).
