Aldo Cadiz – Scotch EP
Disco Royal label head, Aldo Cadiz, has worked and is no stranger to the captivating island sounds that Cadenza and Desolat are widely known for – his upcoming ‘Scotch EP’ is no different as he graces us with two original productions being released on Inmotion Music, October 15th. Being the 31st release for Inmotion, it only seems appropriate that the EP contains a remix of each track by Desolat’s Romanian dynamic duo, Livio & Roby as well as rising star Filsonik.
Cadiz’s tasteful and catchy use of drums in this EP show signs of being regularly used by Desolat owner, Loco Dice. As he takes on a slightly tribal sound in “Scotch” – Aldo manages to enrich the track with a subtle harmony that builds up as the track carries on. Livio & Roby, on the other hand, take their spin on “Scotch” as they darken the sound whilst making the ominous vocals loop around the track to keep you on the edge of your seat. Filsonik also takes Aldo’s ‘Butomz’ and morphs it into a track that will set the vibe of a underground club setting perfectly as he uses the eerie echoing to flip the mood of the track.
