Get used to hearing these two names over the course of the next few months. Jeziel Quintela and Jquintel are already signed to Ultra and Maquina Music (respectively) and have received support from the likes of Luciano, Richie Hawtin, and Mark Knight to name just a few. The dynamic duo teams up to put out a tasteful mix of techy masterpieces and big room bombs. These dudes are not only extremely versatile producers, but also possess the unique ability to craft a mix that isn’t just banger after banger. This particular mix actually flows and it is quite obvious that some thought has been put into the track selection and flow. Have a listen and check out the full tracklisting after the jump! AND most importantly, take a close listen to their ‘Over The Rainbow’ remix they did with the Manufactured Superstars. Massive stuff!
The first official Hyperbits release is a remix of Bombs Away featuring Big Nab: “Ridiculous”. The remix package, which was released on Universal Australia/LNG last week, comes equipped with big tracks from Sgt Slick (who remixed Avicii’s “Malo” in 2010) and Kid Kenobi amongst others, but the stand out in the package is definitely Hyperbits’ offering. A solid blend of in-your-face electro and well structured house music, this remix gets BIG in a hurry.
Bombs Away – Ridiculous feat. Big Nab (Hyperbits Remix)
The acid sound is a timeless one that, if executed correctly, can create some of the biggest club tracks of all time. Just listen to Afrojack’s ‘Pacha On Acid‘ (which was actually a remake of an old Steven Angello track, hence why it was released on Angelo’s imprint SIZE). Here is a well-produced remix of a Dero track, who is signed to Robbie Rivera’s Juicy imprint. Tony Arzadon uses video-game esque synth hits in the breakdown and big acid house sounds to create a massive tune.
Maya Jane Coles is the queen of the underground, and no one will argue that. She has recently put out a mix entitled “DJ Kicks” and it showcases Maya moving away from the housey sound that she has embodied, and becoming more diverse and experimental. This track is a track that is exclusive to the mix, and it is absolutely brilliant. Take a listen to this tasteful record that uses amazing vocals and slight traces of dubstep wobbles. Also, an amazing and informative mini-documentary has just been released and you can watch that HERE.
This coming Thursday, Dance Here Now is throwing a birthday party for Behrouz, a deep house and techno pioneer who has been at the top echelon of the dance music scene for over a decade. His long sets and deep signature sound make him a perfect fit for the unbelievably punchy system in Cielo. Originally found by the Deep Dish guys (Sharam and Dubfire) and holding residencies at Circo Loco at DC10 and Space Ibiza, this guy is the real deal. Pick up tickets HERE and listen to his set from Burning Man below.
Yes, Avicii did produce tracks before ‘Bromance’ and ‘Levels’. This track is, for lack of a better word, MASSIVE. It is safe to say that this is Avicii at his best, and he produced it over 3 years ago. Perfect vocals and a massive synth riff make the track an absolute classic. Also, the first drop is extremely cool and comes out of nowhere (30 seconds in). Enjoy this golden oldie.

Avicii is a money making machine. As if it wasn’t enough that he will be headlining Coachella this coming weekend, he is currently in NYC working on a summer campaign for Ralph Lauren Denim & Supply (a line in which he is now the new face of). In addition to helping design the line, he will also be starring in a video short and debuting a new track in the process. It appears as though his meteoric rise to the top of the EDM pyramid has made his manager and executive producer Ash Pournouri even more relentless. These guys will stop at nothing, and the brand they have created is immensely impressive and extremely profitable.
Multiple sources (including NME and Billboard) have confirmed that Skrillex, his girlfriend (Ellie Goulding), Sebastian Ingrosso and Steve Angello were in the studio this weekend in NYC working on a track. Talk about a collab of epic proportions. Ellie’s vocals are unmatched, Skrillex’s dubstep production is undeniably the best in his niche, and Ingrosso and Angello have slowly but surely become two of the most in demand guys in dance music. Interestingly enough, the 2 Swedish House Mafia members were supposedly nervous to work with the couple, but it seems as though the track came out great. Some have hinted that the record will come out on Ellie’s new album, although that is not confirmed. For those who do not know, Steve and Seb have produced together under multiple aliases LONG before Swedish House Mafia came to fruition. Some of the aliases include but are not limited to: Buy Now, General Moders, Outfunk, and Mode Hookers.
Wow! The phase 1 line up of EZF 2012 was just released this morning. Absolutely stunning line up. Highlights include Sasha, Boys Noize, Tiesto, Tommy Trash, A Trak, and Nicky Romero. Oh yea, and Marco Carola is back in Sunday School. No big deal…
Cosmic Opera is back with their second installment, and the line up is as eclectic as it is awesome. Fedde Le Grand is headlining both nights, with big support from Funkagenda, Zedd, Felix Cartal, and 2 EO favorites: Matt Goldman and David Berrie who is playing under his progressive alias, dBerrie. Coming off the massive success of Act I, Act II aims to be a bigger production and hit harder. It is pretty clear that the line up reflects the new direction of Act II. Cosmic Opera founder Justin Cohen has gone on to say “As it would be for a true Italian opera, our first Act was an overture. It was the initial combination of opera, theater and EDM. In Act II we will continue to build the event series and go deeper to explore the possibilities of Cosmic Opera with Imbroglio.” Below you will find dBerrie’s remix of Gotye’s chart-topper: a song that Fedde Le Grand recently dropped at Ultra Music festival. You will 100% hear this track. Buy tickets for this momentous event HERE for Thursday and HERE for Friday.
