The Dutch are damn good at Electro House, and the Sherman family is no exception. Shermanology is a Dirty Dutch trio out of the Netherlands with uncommonly good vocals, who are known for their amazing live vocal mashes. Today they have teamed up with fellow Dutch DJ R3HAB to release ‘Living for the City.’ The track features Dorothy’s vocals over a heavier electro-house beat with solid drops and dance-inducing melodies. The vocals are definitely the highlight of the track, and one can only hope that Shermanology releases an unplugged version of the track, like they did for their last smash with Afrojack, ‘Can’t Stop Me.’

Maurizio Colella, aka EDX, is well known for his long list of successful progressive remixes, but today the Italian is releasing his newest original track, ‘Touched.’ The track, released by Toolroom Records, is a faster paced progressive house track, with a simple but uplifting melody that is well complimented by the synths and progressive beat. Be sure to check out the preview below and definitely grab it on Beatport today.
KDrew, the dubstep DJ out of NJ, is not only a serious player in the dubstep genre, but the man has a voice. Grabbing the microphone and laying down the vocals for his latest original mix, ‘Circles,’ KDrew showcased his musical chops brilliantly. The track itself takes a more melodic approach to dubstep a la Adventure Club, layering his vocals with drawn out bass growls and drops that are surprisingly smooth. The best part of the track? KDrew is giving it away for free. Grab the download below, and be sure to check out KDrew live on November 9 at the Starland Ballroom and November 23 at Webster Hall with 3LAU.
Monsta previewed yet another track off of his upcoming EP today, a remix of ‘Messiah’ with basshead Alvin Risk at the wheel. The original ‘Messiah’ was the definition of uplifting, but no longer now that Risk has put his hands on it. Plenty of face-melting, laser-shooting, drops litter the track, and little remains of the track’s original melodies.
Monsta’s album, aptly named ‘Monsta,’ is out next Tuesday on OWSLA. In addition to Alvin Risk’s remix, expect appearances from Skirllex, Nero, Dillon Francis, and Kill Paris.
For all of you who are tired of waiting until the 22nd for Xilent to release his new EP, ‘Touch Sound,’ there is good news. The long time Drum & Bass producer out of Poland decided to release a preview of three of his tracks, and a free download of the fourth, this morning. From the sound of things, Xilent has put together a strong mix of Drum & Bass, coupled with slick dubstep drops and electro beats, that certainly leaves you wanting the full album. Take a listen below, grab the free download of ‘Mass Creation,’ and be sure to pre-order the EP on iTunes out next week.
Rudimental, a quartet of producers out of the UK, and fellow singer John Newman, exploded this summer on the other side of the pond with their Drum and Bass hit, ‘Feel the Love,’ a positive and upbeat track that pushed D&B to a place not usually seen in the genre. Last night, Rudimental and John Newman teamed up once again, only this time adding Alex Clare into the mix to preview ‘Not Giving In’ on Zane Lowe’s Hottest Records Blog. The track is a perfect continuation of Rudimental’s uplifting drum and bass themes, and the addition of Alex Clare’s vocals over John Newman’s voice make the track a special treat.
The track was released in the UK on iTunes today and should be forthcoming in the US. Check out the preview below, and if you are fortunate enough to be in the UK, be sure to grab it on iTunes.

Project 46, a duo out of Canada that exploded on the progressive scene recently, and Dubvision, the Dutch duo who made a splash back in February with their track ‘All By Myself‘ are joining forces this week with their release ‘You & I.’ The track was scooped up by Sander Van Doorn as his number one track in Identity 143 and hit big with its euphoric chord progression and vocals. Spinnin’ Records, where both artists are currently residing, is releasing the track today for all the progressive house lovers out there. If you missed the track back in August, take a listen below and be sure to support these two up-and-comers by grabbing their track on Beatport.
Project 46 will be making their Lavo NYC debut this Thursday so definitely get your butt to Midtown to check them out – guaranteed they will play this track, although they won’t be the first as Kaskade opened with it there last Thursday.
