For the second installment of Tiësto’s In The Booth series you get to travel with him and his team to Las Vegas for his back to back Memorial Day weekend shows. We got introduced to the people who surround Tiësto in the first installment, and today we learn a bit more about his tour manager Kelly Cobb. The last time Quintino released something at Musical Freedom it was ‘Epic‘, both literally and figuratively (Epic found it’s way to number 10 on our Top 25 Tracks of 2011). ‘We Gonna Rock’ features a pretty dope synth line with it’s official release date is set for next Monday, January 23rd, or as Quintino’s people might say, Januari. Quintino is a guy who didn’t make our top 10 of artists to look out for, but he is definitely someone everyone should keep their eyes on, especially working with a guy like Afrojack, have a funny feeling he might see some more success than Paris Hilton.

If you didn’t already have a reason to go to Marquee when you’re in Vegas, read: Kaskade is extending his residency, we just received news that Chuckie, the patron saint of Dirty Dutch House, is also going to continue his residency in 2012. After an extremely successful first year with Marquee, we are glad to see that the trend of DJ residencies at Vegas clubs is continuing. Truly this is the year that DJs become the next rock stars. UPDATE: Generation 303 is now slated for release Feb. 6!
It’s no secret that we are big fans of Nicky Romero. We named him our #1 most anticipated artist of 2012 just a few days ago and we will be there to cover his gig at Pacha next week. Now we finally get a release time frame for his new acid banger Generation 303, which is set for February on Tiësto’s Musical Freedom label. The sophomore collaboration for Dutch partners Afrojack and Shermanology, Can’t Stop Me is a highly anticipated track that will be one of the first releases, on January 23, coming from Afrojack’s Wall Recordings in 2012. Dorothy Sherman provides vocals over the grinding, instrumental heavy track, an Afrojack signature. The duo previously created the groovy Grindin’, which we loved, so looking forward to hearing the new track in its entirety.

Felix Cartal – Don’t Turn On The Lights was already a hot track, but now Laidback Luke has given it his distorted, deep bass line treatment and turned it into a big room banger. We saw Felix spin this song at Pacha with live vocal accompaniment by Polina which was a super treat, but now it will be a must to hear this insane remix on the floor. Around 1:50 a thumping pound drum bass transitions you from the sireny and relatively tame lead in. But hot damn this is a good track – do yourself a favor and listen RIGHT NOW!! This has been quite a week for Laidback, having gotten engaged to longtime girlfriend Gina Turner en route to Holy Ship!, 200K followers and now this tune. Congrats!

Quintino’s newest single ‘The One and Only’ is bleep heavy and definitely fits the mold of Wall Recordings, Afrojack’s label. The track got its first real airplay at Electric Zoo back in September during Afrojack’s set and in my mind can be seamlessly meshed with ‘Natural Disaster’, the two are strikingly similar. We officially previewed the tune last week but the single is officially released today and can now be purchased on Beatport.

As a special gift for reaching 200K followers, Dutch star Laidback Luke, who recently headlined Pacha’s NYE bash, released to his fans today a free track for download HERE on his Facebook page. This track is a hard hitting electro jam of epic proportions. Laidback really did himself in on this one and it’s great that we get it for free.
