When you listen to ‘Miraj’ by Sandro Silva and newcomer Junkie Kid, you might think you’re in a rave in the middle east. It’s safe to say Sandro Silva is one of the kings of that big-room Electro sound that brings a crowd from 0-60 in one second, and ‘Miraj’ is something totally different. We really haven’t heard much from Silva, and are stoked he’s back. The track has some culture to it, and the breakdown can still bring a crowd into a frenzy. It’s such a filthy and original track that we have played it three straight times. Go out there and buy it!
Cash Cash sure has an ear for irresistibly catchy melodies! Following up on the success of their smash hit ‘Take Me Home,’ Cash Cash teamed up with Adrian Lux to produce ‘Bullet’. A progressive track with an electro house kick, ‘Bullet’ takes an unexpected twists at the 1:20 mark, immediately following its first drop. The twangy, infectious electro melody squawks over a consistent bassline before cutting out to allow for the simmering tremor to surface. ‘Bullet’ repeats the same instrumental formula once again before the track fades out. Available for ‘Free Download,’ ‘Bullet’ will spread like wildfire upon first listen to its undeniable sound.
David Guetta has gone off his typical mainstream Top 40 beats that has gotten him a not so good reputation in the EDM community and has released a pretty catchy Electro track. The track re-works Cher’s ‘Bang Bang’ with a new Electro hook featuring the sexy vocals of Skylar Gray. Skylar and Guetta actually met randomly in a sushi restaurant in LA and hit it off from there. ‘Shot Me Down’ is available on Guetta’s own Jack Back Records and you should definitely grab yourself a copy.
EDM wonderboy Martin Garrix has released the edit to Bassjackers filthy track ‘Crackin’. This guy does not stop, releasing number 1 tracks every month it seems like. The original was already a huge club track, and his edit has a huge Electro hook and some wild synths. Take a listen and definitely buy this one.
Out on Hardwell’s Revealed Recordings, Jewelz and Scott Sparks have teamed up with Quilla’s vocals to unleash a monster track ‘Unless We Forget’. We literally have had it on repeat since it came out and are ultimately obsessed. German breakouts Jewelz & Scott Sparks left 2013 with a buzz, and look to plant themselves in the talk of EDM for 2014. This release certainly doesn’t hurt , a sure Beatport Top 10 within a few days. New York City’s own, Hyperbits, just dropped this absolutely massive progressive and electro banger. ‘Layer Cake’, originally premiered by Victor Niglio on BBC Radio1′s Diplo & Friends back in the Fall, is now available as a FREE download to kick off 2014. With buzzing synths, rumbling bass, and fun, melodic breaks, this track is an early indication of what is in store for Hyperbits in the new year.
Spinnin’ Records releases it’s newest Beatport Top 10 em ‘Raveologoy’. The track is produced by heavy hitter DVBBS and Vinai and claims one of the hottest Electro beats of 2014. DVBBS released monster tracks last year ‘Tsunami’ and ‘Stampede’, and he easily has done it again with ‘Raveology’. The track is supported by every major EDM artist out there, and look for it to be a key player in big time sets in the upcoming months.
‘Supa Hot Fiya’ is an eclectic mixture of Melbourne Bounce, Progressive and Dirty Dutch. Yes, you read that right – Tommie Sunshine in collaboration with Deorro is surprising us all again and showing us that he can mix genres like a bi-polar kid watches TV. A filthy electro track that has underground appeal and deserves to be played in clubs of the dark and dirty variety. It’s hard to pass unique tracks like this when they come by so rarely.
