For the whole festival, kineticFIELD is where some of the most recognizable names in the world of EDM will be strutting their stuff. Sunday is no exception, and likely throughout the three days the stage will pull the greatest number of fans in comparison to the others.

Remixing Sander van Doorn is a tall order in any respect, especially of his newest seemingly flawless track ‘Nothing Inside.’ But young SvD favorite Julian Jordan took a spin with the track and gave it his own particular dirty, progressive flavor. Even from the teaser, it’s clear that Jordan stepped up to the plate on this one. He’s making big moves lately, including his upcoming release with TV Noise ‘Oxford.’ Make a note of this guy in your book.
Future release is set for June 6 on Doorn Records.
There is so much love for the collaborations coming from Russian brethren Swanky Tunes and Hard Rock Sofa. A live preview for ‘Here We Go‘ just surfaced from Coachella and now we have an official video preview for another track ‘The Edge’ slated for release May 28 on Afrojack’s Wall Recordings.

One of the up and comers from the Mau5trap label, German wunderkind Moguai has just released his trumped up, crunked up, silky smooth progressive house banger remix of his own track Lyme that came out on his EP earlier in the year. The original version from the Mpire LP is shorter, more melodic trance music, but this remix is longer, louder, glitchier, and heavier.
Moguai has some shows coming up in the United States scattered throughout the West Coast, but nothing on the East coast yet. You can find his tourdates on his website.
Morten Breum, of Danish god status, today released his newest progressive house track ‘Larva’ exclusively on Beatport. Following up on his dubstep collaboration with fellow Danes Pegboard Nerds, ‘Larva’ certainly fits more cozily into the nook of the electro and house that one can normally expect from Breum.
Now a resident of LA, Breum was THE biggest DJ in Denmark prior to his relocation, even playing for the royal wedding of the crown prince of the country. That’s something that most American DJs can’t even dream about. ‘Larva’ is rumored to be the first of 15 tracks that Breum plans to release this year and he is setting the bar high from the get go. A steady, building progressive lead-in kicks up halfway through the tune and doesn’t abate. Don’t waste another second before listening and purchasing what is likely to be Breum’s breakthrough track on the American scene.

And on the 7th day, God gave us ‘The Veldt’. Officially released today on Joel’s label, Mau5trap, alongside Ultra rec, the Mau5 throws us for a loop and puts this one out on a Sunday. We previewed this track a few weeks ago and we’ve definitely had some anticipation for this one.’The Veldt’ provides us with some classic signature Mau5 that some fans felt he was drifting away from. Its exciting to see Joel’s still got it and how he’s continued to progress through the scene while staying true to his sound for the most part.
Deadmau5 had initially created ‘The Veldt’ during a live uStream session (see here), a medium that he seems particulary fond of and puts him in contact with his fans, and then became aware of a vocal version made by a fan (Chris James) and voila, the single was born.

If you couldn’t tell, the dance music world is waiting in great anticipation for the Eric Prydz album. Seems like Prydz, himself, can’t wait either. He has pulled the carpet from beneath his own album and released ‘SW4,’ one of the albums 37 tracks, today. The rest, of course, are due out May 21 as part of his ‘Pryda’ LP.
In the style of ‘Mokba,’ his alter-ego’s summer 2011 release, he gives us a more subdued version. More deep progressive than electro.
Featured last week on his album sampler, ‘SW4,’ ‘Allein‘ and all the other previews seem to indicate one of the most impressive dance music albums in recent memory.
Twitter, how we love thee. New updates and breaking news can now come directly from the source on this medium, as we saw during the week via Dirty South’s blasts about working with Alesso in the studio – complete with photo and video evidence if you’re a skeptic! The result of the studio session was a new track, but no further details.
Now Dirty South has re-tweeted a fan’s inquiry about when the track the duo produced will be released after the Aussie and the Swede dropped the ID during their respective shows at Creamfields Perth. Looks like the dots are being connected, and the video above appears to be a live preview of said tune. Given the viral nature of the internet chances are we will be hearing more about this ID soon.
Already in a few short months Hard Rock Sofa and Swanky Tunes have been making a big splash, releasing collaborations and group productions that are living on Beatport charts and lauded compilations. They are rising from the east as the Russian mafia of house and 2012 looks to only get bigger with news of the ‘Here We Go’ release.

Young, fresh talent unites in this Walden remix of Paper Crows’s track ‘Metal Hearts.’ The newest signing to Pete Tong’s FFRR Records, Paper Crows is a British duo who has drawn comparison to a goth version of La Roux. Walden’s spin with their vocals driven track is a hard hitting study in pure electro house, with a driving chorus followed by wobbly acid tinged synths. No word on release yet so stay tuned.

Swedish progressive stalwart John Dahlbäck is back with a nuanced new production that melds soaring synth stabs with just a hint of electro house. “Rebels” is a balanced number that offsets euphoric builds with distorted bass, pushing his sound into new sonic regions without compromising his consistent production quality. That’s why they call him progressive.
You can snag a free download on his Facebook page today. If you missed EO’s exclusive interview with Mr. Dahlbäck in February, be sure to check that out as well.
