Weekend’s here TGIF…time for some Moombahton. Toronto based duo Torro Torro drop an exclusive 40 minute mix for Media Contender covered in noise. Moombahton is a new genre in EDM featuring 108 BPM productions that blend influences from Dirty Dutch (it was created when the Afrojack remix of Silvio Ecomo & DJ Chuckie’s Song ‘Moombah’ was slowed down to 108 by Dave Nada) and Reggaeton, hence the name Moombah-ton. Diplo and Mad Decent have been all over the trend releasing EPs from artists like Dillon Francis and more. The stuff just puts a smile on your face, crazy sounds that tear stereos apart. Arty has been on fire with two summer anthems ‘Kate‘ and ‘Around The World,’ which have been featured some of the most famous radio shows such as ‘A State of Trance’, ‘Club Life’ and ‘Trance Around The World.’ This mix from Marquee, Las Vegas includes his original tracks such as ‘Rebound,’ as well as the latest hits. Brand new 1 hour mix from Electronica Oasis favorite, Bart B More. Carrying some of the most innovative sounds in EDM, Bart’s music is a plethora of energy crammed into a few destructive minutes. He runs his own Secure Recordings which just put out ‘The Ones EP’ with Harvard Bass, frequently collaborates with Tommie Sunshine for hits like ‘Bodywork‘ and ‘Drop Acid’, and hands down is one of the best performers around. Mishka NYC debuts Bart’s first mix for their Keep Watch series which starts out with an acappella of the notorious ‘I Like Turtles’ video…enough said.
