It was quite the year for the Dutch DJ/Producer Hardwell, reaching 500,000 ‘Likes’ on Facebook and practically taking over the EDM world. The phenom celebrated this milestone by releasing his ‘Yearmix 2012′, and Oh yeah, you can download it for free on Hardwell’s Facebook page (can’t beat that). In the mix, Hardwell drops all the years biggest hits, including his own ; ‘Apollo‘, ‘How We Do‘ and ‘Spaceman‘. This is a hard hitting mix, comparable to Hardwell’s outstanding live sets. Opting for fresh and new over repetitive and stale, Swedish key-pusher Avicii brings us the latest edition of his Levels podcast.
Fans of the worlds No. 3 DJ will surely be out of their comfort zone with a few tracks, but that’s a good thing. Duke Dumont’s ‘The Giver’ is one of the most popular deep house tracks of the moment and Aveech prominently features it in his mix.
Some new music we’re exposed to this month includes a new Cazzette track, but who cares about that when we have a ‘Nicktim‘ update. Now called ‘Stranger,’ our No. 5 most anticipated track of 2012 sheds the ‘D.A.N.C.E.‘ acapella it’s been paired with for the last year and is given fresh, original vocals.
