Project 46, the Canadian producer/DJ duo has released their newest track, a remix of Kelly Clarkson’s ‘People Like Us’. It was somewhat shocking that Kelly Clarkson’s vocals fit so well with progressive house, but with Project 46′s high-level production, it’s a bit less of a surprise. The vocals fit extremely well with the kicks and claps, and the underlying synths only add to the good vibes this song gives out. Advertised by Project 46 as a song for the radio, and not a club banger, this song won’t be as heavy as a lot of other progressive house songs, but is still an extremely well made track that is great to listen to anywhere.
Project 46 is only getting better and better, with a track coming out with Kaskade later this year, which you can listen to in Kaskade’s Ultra Music Festival set. Click here and skip to 49:35 to listen!

The ever impressive Above and Beyond never fails to create flawless concoctions of sounds that send chills of pleasure down their listeners’s spines. With their latest track, ‘Walter White’, there is no exception to the trio’s pattern of tasteful production.
Since its premier as an ID track at the final installment of Trance Around The World from Bangalore, India in November of 2012, the official drop of ‘Walter White’ has eagerly been awaited by A&B followers. Those of us who tune in to satellite radio to get our weekly A&B fill had the pleasure of first hearing “Walter White” on Above & Beyond’s radio show, Group Therapy; Episode #001. (Group Therapy is the successor to A&B’s former radio show, Trance Around The World). Interestingly, ‘Walter White’, which is off of Anjuna Beats Volume 10, was named in tribute to the TV character from the Breaking Bad series. Already a club hit, ‘Walter White’ comes roaring in with a tech-like rhythm. The melody then flows into long, deep bass lines that are almost hypnotic, before erupting again with piercing synths. The song emulates the captivating charisma A&B always brings to the table. Give the track that goes out to “Walter White aka Heisenberg” a listen and see if it can leave you spellbound.

Anthony Maniscalco, better known as Hook n Sling, is always good for a song that can make one feel jovial, as if they have encountered a transcendental experience simply by listening. You know? The Australian DJ/Producer’s latest track off of Spinnin Records, ‘Don’t you know’ does exactly that. A funky disco-esque beat kicks the track off, with delicate, cheerful vocals. Next, the song blasts into a dirty grinding electro-house sound. This is a roller coaster of styles that are strung together beautifully to make a perfect dance track.

Capital Cities has released the remix EP for their single ‘Safe & Sound’. On this EP is an excellent remix of the song by the EDM powerhouse Tommie Sunshine and Live City. Let’s just start off by saying this song has amazing radio potential, and if it is discovered, this could easily be on the Top 40 stations. The melody is extremely catchy and somewhat reminiscent of other EDM songs that have breached the Top 40 charts such as Calvin Harris – ‘Sweet Nothing’. The vocals from the song fit this remix extremely well, keeping with the trend of meaningful lyrics in dance music that we all love.
It’s really nice to see bigger names in the industry collaborating with smaller, yet talented artists to help them increase their popularity. Tommie Sunshine has proved time and time again that he is one of the most influential, and down-to-earth artists in the scene right now.

One of our favorite local producers, New York City’s own dBerrie releases a bootleg for Kaskades hit track ‘Angel On My Shoulder’. Combining smooth female vocals with beautiful piano melodies, dBerrie brings back an old track in an uplifting way. The original was more of a laid back feel, while Brooklyn native dBerrie gives it a dance infused breakdown. dBerrie continues to prove his versasilty and you should be on the look out for a major break through by the Summer.
Maor Levi and Pierce Fulton have released their newest collaboration titled ‘Wanna Be’. ‘Wanna Be’ is a progressive house track filled with excitement. The intro and break contain a really cool synth that sounds somewhat similar to the lead in Avicii’s – ‘X You’. Once this track takes off, you’d better be prepared. With a massive lead and kicks, and vocals that only add to the energy, this is sure to make you want to dance. Because of that this will likely see a lot of play time during festival season. If you’re a fan of either Maor Levi, or Pierce Fulton, this track is a must-listen.

The Chainsmokers sure can pump out quality remixes. Their newest remix of Daughter’s ‘Medicine’ is nothing short of extravagant. The home-grown NYC duo of Drew Taggart and Alex Pal have a really unique talent in which they have showcased with previous remixes of Two Door Cinema Club’s ‘Sleep Alone’ and Jonsi’s ‘Around Us’. They can bring an EDM sound to songs of any genre and their remix to ‘Medicine’ proves so. “We heard this song on a depressing cold winter day in NYC (it can get pretty bad) but as soon as we heard the haunting voice of Elena from Daughter and the bands equally incredible wallowing piano chords, we didn’t necessarily feel happier, but we fell in love with the song and knew we had to try give our Chainsmokers touch to it without ruining the already beautiful song”. This is one of those tracks that you can listen to over and over again and feel a sense of peace every time.
Eric Prydz aka Pryda just released his newest track ‘Power Drive’. Although it’s April 1st, we can assure you that this is no April Fool’s joke, because this track is great! This song starts off with somewhat of an eerie feel. Around half way through, the track transitions to high energy, while still keeping the eerie feel from the beginning. Overall, the track definitely stays true to its name, a track that would fit a power drive in the middle of the night extremely well.
‘Power Drive’ is released under Pryda Recordings. Pryda Recordings is Eric Prydz’s private record label. Under this label he releases all of his tracks that he produces under the alias Pryda.
