Fresh off two breakout tracks at the end of 2012 with “Flashbang” and “Toxic Rush“, newcomer duo Jewelz & Scott Sparks are back with another single, “NYMSN“. Taking the same minimal approach to progressive as with their previous releases, this one features familiar heavy drums and simple top lines. It’s already had support from many big names, including Hardwell and David Guetta, but look for this one to bring the house down during festival season. With a vocal sample that cries out a call to action for New York, don’t be surprised if you see “NYMSN” make crowds erupt at upcoming EDC New York and even the more distant Electric Zoo shows.
Paul Oakenfold, a massive trance DJ/Producer from the UK teamed up with Project 46 to make an amazing collab with Daphne titled ‘Higher’. The track was released for Project 46′s “Pancake Friday”, where the Canadian producer duo give away a free track every Friday. ‘Higher’ is a big progressive track, based largely around the vocals which go exceptionally well with Project 46′s signature uplifting chord progressions. Daphne’s vocals are nothing short of amazing. Throughout the track you will feel like you’re on top of the world. A track that will likely be one of the best of 2013 and it’s a free download. Where can you go wrong?

Nervo is back with their new single ‘Army’. The twin sisters with outstanding production skill team up with Ned Shepard and Omarion for this track. Omarion did a great job with the vocals in ‘Army’. Meaningful and still fun, they fit the track extremely well. Pair this with the unforgettable lead from Nervo & Sultan & Ned Shepard and you have yourself ‘Army’. Beware, this song is very addicting. After listening once, you might be listening all day! ‘Army’ has a lot of radio potential (fingers crossed). If you like Nervo, they will be playing Spring Awakening and Ultra Music Festival this year. Stay tuned to Electronica Oasis for more coverage and updates on UMF!

Cedric Gervais’ new remix of ‘Summertime Sadness’ is nothing short of extraordinary. Lana Del Rey has been being remixed a lot lately in the EDM scene, and for good reason. She has such a unique voice that really suits the genre well. Most remixes of her songs are amazing, and this remix in particular is no exception. Cedric Gervais made this track massive, and full of energy from start to finish. His use of the vocals in sections with slower beats, including the break, really helps emphasize the vocals, and keeps the energy flowing. Because of this, the track is fun to listen to whether you’re in the club or you’re listening on your own.

Culture Code just released their new track with vocalist Brenton Mattheus titled ‘On My Own’. Culture Code steps away from their usual dubstep, making an amazing progressive house track. This is their first released progressive house track, and it’s pretty amazing considering that. All of Culture Code’s music is free, all you need to do is like their Facebook page (link below).
The track is simply amazing. A massive lead synth and heavy kick give the track a ton of energy. The piano harmony is beautiful and compliments the stellar vocals of Brenton Mattheus very well. If Culture Code continues making tracks of this quality, expect to see them at the big festivals in the near future!
