It’s been two years since Chris Lake and Michael Woods got together for a collaboration track since releasing ‘Dominos‘ back in 2010 and you have to wonder what took so long. These two pair up and bring out the best of each other, as evidenced in their newest track ‘Black Thong‘. The track delivers an epic piano melody, building to an intense drop of pounding bass and squeaky synths. The track does not disappoint. Also look for this track again as part of Chris Lake’s upcoming album.

2012 has been a breakout year for the NYC based producing duo, Hyperbits. After some highly supported bootlegs and remixes like Zedd vs. Norin & Rad ‘Clarity Bloom’ and Muses ‘Starlight’ which peaked at #6 on the HypeM charts, their original debut ‘Move’ made it to the top 50 in the world on the Beatport progressive house charts.
Now, Hyperbits is taking their productions to new heights with ‘Bahaha’, an original collaboration with long time mega-duo, Filo & Peri. With a unique string based lead reminiscent of Sander Van Doorn in his prime, this track is also able to maintain a hard hitting disposition comparable to the likes of Michael Woods or Hardwell. This is a must download and a solid offering to begin 2013. Hyperbits is giving this away as a free download so make sure to like them on Facebook, follow on Twitter, and listen on Soundcloud!
Anjunabeats strikes again. Mike Koglin , the legendary German trance DJ and producer , teams up with 7 skies(Daivd Bolini) , to come up with a masterful trance track , ‘Vision’. Mike Koglin is a Grammy-nominated Producer/ DJ and also re mixer. The veteran has been in the Trance Genre for almost two decades now. 7 skies is a wonderful Italian DJ/Producer , whom you may recognize from his track , ‘Caffeine’, which really brought him to the next level in the Trance scene. He followed up with ‘Sushi’, a very distinct and rich trance track. He is a regular on radio shows such as ‘Trance Around the World’ and ‘ A State Of Trance’ , getting plays from top DJs across the globe.
‘Vision’ is a wonderful track, with a unique groovy sound, which you should definitely be hearing in any trance set in the next few weeks. The track starts out with a filthy beginning, and really leads up to a pounding drop. Koglin and 7 skies went back to the roots of Progressive Trance, which will have Trance lovers drooling. Would love to hear this track on the dance floor with some pounding bass. This really is one of the best Trance songs to come out this year, and would be intrigued see these two team up for a few more tracks.
Originally planned as a Porter remix, this collaboration has a nice balance in sound between the two prodigies. From Mat Zo’s soulful melodies to Porter’s big room drops, it’s no surprise this release is the current lead dog for early 2013 favorite.

Once again, Audien brings a lively trance beat, encompassing a beautiful melody which is heaven-like to the ears and has been getting plays all across the globe. Expect big things from Audien in the year to come.
Rounding out the EP, the Mimax remix brings out a little bit of a harder drop, proving there are many different angles which make this EP sound one of a kind. Overall, the ‘Multiverse EP’ is a must have for progressive/trance lovers, and expect big things from this crew in 2013.

After arguably the biggest year of his career, rising Dutch producer Hardwell has just released his latest dancefloor anthem ‘Apollo’, featuring the angelic vocals of Amba Shepherd. This progressive banger is a bit different than traditional Hardwell. ‘Apollo’ has a very uplifting, and emotional feel to it that is sure to instantly entrance everyone who hears it. ‘Apollo’ seems to be a statement by Hardwell that he has no plans of slowing down after coming off a massive year.
