After a noteworthy top 50 release on Beatport’s progressive house chart worldwide, Hyperbits have upped their production standards to new heights. Undeniably their biggest offering to date, the duo remixes Muse’s classic track ‘Starlight’ and turns it into a floor-filling progressive masterpiece. Perfect utilization of Matthew Bellamy’s vocal plus a unique and full synth riff make the track something that will likely find its way into many DJ sets in peak hours. Taking on a Muse track is something few producers have dared to do, as their tracks and vocals are always well respected and consistently of the highest standards among all music lovers. Hyperbits manages to create something new and refreshing while maintaining the integrity of the original. The sounds incorporated in this remix are similar to what Zedd would sound like if he were to shy away from his aggressive electro roots in favor of a more full bodied progressive vibe. Make sure to show Hyperbits some love and like on facebook, follow on twitter, and listen on soundcloud!

Eric Prydz – Everyday

By Joey Joey Joey (@JoeyJoeyJoeyy) on October 15th 2012

Eric Prydz became, arguably, the standard in progressive house with his Pryda album and U.S. tour that dominated the summer, he pads his stats with his latest release, ‘Everyday.’

Completely gimmick-free and melodic, Prydz arranged a somewhat nu-wave sound over the vocals of John Ciafone. Easily a contender for track of the year (he might be on that list several times.)

Prydz will be coming back to the cash cow that is America next month. He’ll be stopping at Roseland Ballroom on Nov. 21 & 24.

Rebecca & Fiona – Giliap (Faustix & ImanoS Remix)

Frequent collaborators Faustix & ImanoS reunite yet again to bring us yet another release, this time remixing the Rebecca & Fiona song, Giliap. Under the wise guidance of Mutants Records head John Dahlbäck, the duo preserves the best elements of the long progressive leads and sultry female vocals, appearing to be your run-of-the-mill feel-good anthem. Adding in the electro chainsaws, however, gives this track the heaviness it needs to be big-room ready.

PREVIEW: Eric Prydz – Everyday

By Joey Joey Joey (@JoeyJoeyJoeyy) on October 4th 2012

This is one of those illusive Eric Prydz tracks formally known as ID.

(It’s always bad ass to see a track called ‘ID.’)

In typical Pyrda fashion, the style Americans were finally exposed to this past summer, we are reintroduced to the the deep, retro instrumental that evokes nothing but emotions. Pryda music.

Now, it doesn’t take an Ivy leaguer to deduce that this is a fantastic track (though we have one on staff in case,) the main talking point is from the actual Zane Low-rip.

Pryda versus Deadmau5.

A little ambitious in the grand scheme of things. Two very different artists. Maybe he meant Deadmau5′ progressive circa-2008 versus Pryda-2012.

Now, if there was ever a reason to build a time machine and have a ‘Professional Griefers‘-type showdown, that would be it.

No release information for ‘Everyday’ as of yet, but it surely will be followed closely.

Pierce Fulton – Sink or Swim EP

Pierce Fulton Sink Or Swim Pierce Fulton Sink or Swim EP

Today we’ve got the long-awaited release of Pierce Fulton‘s Sink or Swim EP, a two-track offering from the young Vermont producer. So far 2012 has been quite a year for Fulton, mainly for his range of production and willingness to dive into a mind-bending variety of genres even within the same set. His Get Weird podcast has been a staple of courage, taking listeners on a journey from progressive trance all the way to glitch hop treatment on Gorillaz classics.

The title track “Sink or Swim” is a full sound vocal track featuring Bebe Rexha and some big-room chords throughout. However the second original “Mr. Mime” is where Fulton really shines. Originally debuted on Trance Around The World 442 a few weeks back, it’s Pryda-inspired progression and vocal samples really steal the show on this one.

Avicii & Nicky Romero vs. Justice – Nicktim (Vitzi’s D.A.N.C.E. Reboot)

By Joey Joey Joey (@JoeyJoeyJoeyy) on September 25th 2012

DramaticQuestionMark Avicii & Nicky Romero vs. Justice Nicktim (Vitzis D.A.N.C.E. Reboot)

Question.

Does anyone know the status of ‘Nicktim?’ You remember ‘Nicktim,’ right? That collobration between Avicii and Nicky Romero. It was our No. 5 most anticipated track of 2012, way back when.

Huh, huh?

If not, don’t Nicktim yourself over it, after all, it’s been almost a year since it was first debuted at Glow nightclub in Washington D.C. There hasn’t been much hoopla since Pete Tong gave it it’s official preview on his show back in February either.

Yeah, a select few DJs have a copy of it and play it live, but where’s the big marketing campaign?

For now, Vitzi, an Avicii admirer and bootleg master, has remade the entire track. Now, it’s surely frowned upon to remake an unreleased track, but, hey, when you’re taking this long to release it, you’re almost asking for it.

‘Nicktim’ will be released on MixMash Records this year. But, more likely, it will be one of our most anticipated tracks of 2013.
