Thursday night, Alexander Björklund of CAZZETTE took center stage for his first NYC gig at Cielo. His mixture of progressive and electro house bangers had the roof completely blown off the club. Thanks to Dance.Here.Now and Cielo NYC, I had the privilege to rock out with CAZZETTE in the flesh. It was an incredible experience, nothing but Electro-house swagger in the booth of Cielo from 1-3 am. Click ‘Read More’ below for the review including an IN-DEPTH INTERVIEW and videos
CAZZETTE dropping their Beatport gem, ‘Sweet Dreams (CAZZETTE meet AT NIGHT Mix)’ into ‘Lick it’ by Kaskade & Skrillex.
Skrillex is the reason behind dubstep’s massive growth in popularity. The way he is able to bend sound waves into this wierd cohesive mess is simply genius. The music video to his latest hit ‘First of the Year (Equinox)‘ is one of the most dark and eery clips I’ve ever seen. Here is his set @ Portland, Maine. The first four tracks weren’t recorded on the set but you can listen to them through video’s after the track list.

The fall line up has been insanity. Since the summer ended, the fall shows have picked up considerably in the NYC-area. Going forward, the winter could potentially be even crazier. So much to look forward too. But, lets focus on this week.

Where We’ll Be
If you’re a house music lover and you have not seen Dirty South live, then there is a strong chance you’re not a house music lover. We will most definitely be in attendance, Friday, for his set at Pacha NYC. He tends to kill it there. Since last November, he has played there four times, all yielding incredible results. Sunnery James and Ryan Marciano are nothing to scoff at, either. They will be opening and we will be meeting up with them Electric Zoo-style. We’ll also have a full recap of that madness next week. Also on Friday, we’ll be making our rounds to David Berrie and Justin Martin.

Pacha NYC and Cielo. They are the clubs pulling the hottest acts for this fall season. Hands down.
Pacha NYC is celebrating its 6-year anniversary, this December. Now, before you crucify the beat-hungry-brain-trust for celebrating a 6-year anniversary (because, honestly, who celebrates a 6-year anniversary?) know that they are roping in gigantic acts for the event. As word leaked out nearly a month ago about Hardwell making his Pacha NYC debut on Dec. 3, we thought that was it. What we now know, though, is Martin Solvieg, R3hab and Quintino will be accompanying him. The following weekend, Fedde Le Grand will enter the booth. Though, that did leak out in advance, a-la Hardwell, Pacha NYC good a fantastic job keeping secrete who would be joining him. That would be Deniz Koyu. Presale tickets here.
The dance floor at Cielo will be getting hotter as the temperature dips going into the winter. On Nov. 17 the Swedish DJ Duo, Cazzete, will satisfy any electro craving you need a fix for. Lots of energy and loud noises. Nov. 22 they will bring Norman Doray for a rare appearance in NYC. New York’s own Junior Sanchez and Gina Turner will be spinning on Dec. 6.
Next Wednesday Nick Cathdubs will be at S.i.r. Stage 37.
Afrojack, Bobby Burns and others will be at the Roseland Ballroom on Dec. 30.
Dec. 9 will bring Joachim Garraud along with Spencer and Hill to Webster hall.
Last time I had seen Nic Fanciulli I saw him play a set with Joris Voorn at EZOO ’11 and it was undoubtedly the grooviest hour and a half in my life, and seeing him a few nights ago was no exception. When i got to District Felix Da Housecat was playing the tunes but to tell you the truth I really was not digging the dark minimal beats that Felix had flowin. But once Mr. Fanciulli got on the decks the whole atmosphere of the club changed from dark scary ambient noises to the dank techy beats of rejected records.
A few highlights for me was hearing “The Tide”- Mark Fanciulli (Joris Voorn Remix), and “Together”- Nic Fanciulli & Joris Voorn
I would highly suggest this club if your into a really high quality of sound. The speaker system there is unlike anything Ive ever heard, and bumps the place hard.

See you all at District 36 on Nov. 26th for Dubfire!
The day after Afrojack’s new single ‘Lionheart‘ (full length below) was officially released on Beatport, JACKED presents Afrojack, Bobby Burns, and a lineup with future artists TBD. Tickets are now available for purchase by clicking here. The show only adds to a tremendous list of acts in the days leading up to 2012. With acts like Avicii, Deadmau5, and Laidback Luke, NYC is clearly the place to be for EDM on NYE. Stay tuned though, EO will be hosting an event of our own to ring in the New Year.

Would you rather party at a crowded local bar and be shamelessly forced to interact with people you probably don’t want to see, or hear the pioneer of progressive trance and house play a set at an intimate venue. This Thanksgiving Eve, Mad Not Mad brings SASHA to Slate in NYC, along with New York favorite Dani Lehman, and Philipp Jung of legendary German electrohouse duo M.A.N.D.Y. This is not to be missed.
For those who are unfamiliar, Sasha was instrumental in shaping the house sound that you are familiar with today. He has been voted among the top 10 DJs in the world every year since 1997 by DJ Mag, and placed #1 in 2000. I can write pages about how influential this guy is, and how remarkable this set will be, but I’ll spare you. The show is brought to you by Mad Not Mad, a promotional group that is dedicated to providing a better club experience than you are used to. The parties are invite only, no dress code, no bottle service, and equipped with the best sound and lighting possible. Click ‘Read More’ to learn more about Mad Not Mad and what the Masters Series entails.
In the meantime, apply to buy tickets HERE, and listen to an awesome set from Sasha below!

Where We’ll Be
So many shows, such little time. We will be checking in at Tiga tonight at Webster Hall. Saturday, there will be a strong EO contingency at Pacha NYC for the free Michael Woods show. If anyone saw his Electric Zoo set back in September, you’ll already know that he is one of the most hype DJ’s you can see live. Not just a DJ, but a performer. Also that night, I’ll be checking out rising bottle service DJ, I/V. He’ll be spinning at the ultra swanky Hudson Terrace. A good weekend is ahead, my friends
Recently Announced Shows ATB will be at Lavo Nov. 10 with Sidney Samson coming later this month, spinning on Thanksgiving Eve.
Halloween weekend brings us a slew of shows, as expected. If you live in or around the NYC-area or are in town for the weekend, you might want to check out some of these spots.
Where We’ll Be
Now, before I get stoned by our faithful readers for listing Pauly D as one of the shows you should attend, know that the Halloween Monday is slim pickins in terms of big DJ’s. The Webster Hall Halloween parade after party is quite promising. People have called it the best Halloween party in the country. We will be at Congorock Thursday and Porter Robinson + Madeon Friday. After Robinson’s stunning set at Electric Zoo, we wouldn’t want to miss an opportunity to see him live. Madeon, if you didn’t know, is a 17-year-old French prodigy that burst on to the scene with his remix of Deadmau5′ ‘Raise You Weapon,’ followed by his 39-song mash up, ‘Pop Culture‘ It is his first time in America and a treat indeed.
Recently Announced Shows A-Trak will be at Lavo Nov. 17. Lavo will continue to pull in the big acts as Tiesto will be there a few weeks later on Dec. 1.
New weekly post here at EO. Every Wednesday (since weekends start a little early in our corner of New York) we will be posting the notable upcoming shows, running from Wednesday to Tuesday, in the Tri-state area. If a big DJ is spinning we will let you know. Also, you can see where we’ll be and what big events were announced that week.

Where We’ll Be
The fall line up has been exceptionally strong, even better than the summer. This week is no exception. Tomorrow you can find us front and center at Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike. It’s rare to see these guys in New York, let alone the United States, so we’ll be taking full advantage
