Get Heard With Indaba Music (Contest #2)
Last Fall, we held out first-ever spotlight and interview contest in conjunction with Indaba Music. Indaba Music is a growing online community of over 600,000 musicians that allows aspiring artists to create, critique, and connect to others through music of any genre. The site has collaborated with big names like John Legend, Jason Derulo, Yo-Yo Ma, Weezer’s Rivers Cuomo, Mariah Carey, and more. Along with being a treat avenue for learning and networking, Indaba constantly has contests that yield exposure and/or cash and more.
For our first contest, nearly 300 artists submitted their original tracks, (which amassed over 6,000 plays on Indaba’s contest page) but we had to decide on only one artist to win. The very talented Dan Gravelle won the contest with his track ‘Far Away (feat. Vuk Lazar)’. (Check out the spotlight and interview here!)
So, calling all producers: The time has again come for one of you to be featured on Electronica Oasis! To enter into our second Featured Post Contest: Go to Indaba and create an account if you don’t already have one. Upload your best original mix (no remixes!!) HERE and cross your fingers. Oh, and don’t forget to add us as a contact! After the contest is closed , the EO brain trust will carefully scour through all of the submissions and choose the track that impresses us the most. Submissions can be of any EDM genre. The winner will receive an interview and spotlight posted on our main page, Facebook, and Twitter (AKA EO IMMORTALITY)!
Submissions are due by February 14th and a winner will be announced on March 6th.
