Our apologies for the tardiness of this post. How dare we wait two days to post a release from the great Dirty South!

New Yorkers have a special affection for ‘Walking Alone’ as it was first previewed at our very own house music festival, Electric Zoo, just six weeks ago.

The crowd at the Red Bull Riverside tent was awed as Dirty South sung along to the then unknown song.

Come that Monday, blogs took over the Youtube video of the track and proclaimed a new Dirty South release was on its way.

Not long after, Swedish House Mafia debuted it as their ‘Essential New Tune,’ when they filled in for Pete Tong. The full preview came shortly after.

This track has enjoyed a nice ride leading up to its release this past Wednesday.

Featuring Australian countrymen Those Usual Suspects and Erik Hecht, ‘Walking Alone’ makes a push for one of the tracks of the year.

The ‘Save The World‘ style song hits all the correct notes. It teases a build up right away before the vocals kick in, giving way to lovely drop. No question this will be played by DJ’s around the planet for months to come.

To think Dirty South was ranked No. 93 in this years DJ Mag poll is asinine. A recount should be in order for the man who is easily a contender for the No. 1 spot.

He didn’t preview this at Electric Zoo, he previewed it quite some time before that.
