Made Event currently has fourteen official afterparties on Labor Day weekend, ensuring you’ll find a party to satisfy every musical taste – and they haven’t even finished the announcements! Stay tuned for our updated post when the final events are announced. You have some big name acts playing theaters like Roseland and Best Buy, heavyweights at Pacha NYC, and the underground scene covered by nightlife gems Output and Cielo. In general, the younger fans will flock to the dub-heavy theater venues where the age limit is eighteen and up while the older crowds head to the cheaper, tech-focused 21+ clubs. Check your details, because some afterparty venues don’t open until 11pm while some open at their usual 10pm. Best Buy Theater and Roseland Ballroom are also offering bottle service VIP options for each night, for a hefty price that rivals top clubs.

Who You Can’t Miss
Flux Pavilion @ Best Buy Theater 8.30 – The English dubstep producer has just hit one million Facebook fans and shows no signs of stopping. He’s headlining the Best Buy Theater along with Ookay and J.Rabbit in support. Flux Pavilion’s ‘Blow The Roof’ EP released this year showcases his talent and the range of influences, from reggae to hip hop, that inform his melodic dub productions. This one’s for the dedicated bass heads.

Eats Everything @ Output 8.31 – Another UK import, Eats Everything brings a fresh dose of retro 90s aesthetic and pure house to Output on Saturday night, the perfect venue to experience this kind of music for the first time. If your idea of a great night out is defined by the word “dance” rather than “rage,” then this is the place for you. Eats Everything offers an escape from the chaos of the festival scene and musical space for you to unwind and experience this rising star in action.

Under the Radar Party
Zack Roth vs. Mike Saint-Jules @ Santos Party House 8.30 – Esscala Entertainment is bringing together a collection of local trance acts for a long night at Santos Party House, headlined by Zack Roth and Mike Saint-Jules battling it out. This isn’t an official Made Event afterparty (read: cheaper), but it may be just your thing if you’re looking for a devoted trance night and you want to avoid the majority of the sweaty, rowdy crowds. East Side Electro and Bad Kids Clothing are also sponsoring the event, so expect to see some cool merch. Buy tickets here.
Who You Can Pass On
W&W @ Best Buy Theater 9.1 – We weren’t thrilled with the duo’s performance at A State of Trance back in March. W&W have moved away from a real trance sound and into producing more progressive electro tunes. And with the $50 price tag, we think there are better options for your Sunday night shenanigans. See: Fedde le Grand at Pacha and Adventure Club at Best Buy Theater.
