Next Tuesday, September 17th, debatably the most well known name in dance music, Avicii, will be hosting his ‘True’ album release party at LAVO NY. After sweeping the nation away with hit such as ‘Levels,’ ‘Seek Bromance‘ and ‘I Could Be The One’ (formerly ‘NikTim‘), Avicii’s first studio album is much anticipated. Tim Bergling previewed some of the material from ‘True’ at Ultra Music Festival; he caused a noisy chatter amongst the dance music community when he brought out country stars Mac Davis, Audra Mae and Dan Tyminski and three members of Incubus to share the stage with him.
‘Wake Me Up‘ is just a preview of the direction Avicii is heading with ‘True.’ With the new album, Avicii attempts to disrupt the balance of how we perceive dance music, incorporating influences across multiple genres not just within the constraints of ‘electronic.’ He endeavored to truly experiment with his style, rather than put forth a replication of his past productions.
We look forward to the release of ‘True’ next Tuesday, September 16th when the young swede takes the deck at LAVO NY.
There will be no ticket sales for this high-profile event and admittance will be based solely on the doorman’s discretion. For more information, regarding dress code, etc., please reference LAVO NY.
