The minds behind nearly everything Kanye related are stopping by Output tonight for a very rare performance. Fashion icons and overall industry cool guys Virgil Abloh and Matthew Williams are the duo that makes up Been Trill. The close friends of Yeezus have spawned a cult following for their odd visuals, hashtag placement, and nearly every snapback in Manhattan. The duo took the stage at Coachella this year for their first festival performance and even stopped by Fool’s Gold Day Off in Brooklyn. Their last performance in Brooklyn got real rowdy when Houston rapper Travis Scott stormed the stage and performed his song ‘Uptown’ while crowd surfing.
Virgil and Matthew recruited the help of Purity Ring, Total Freedom, MXM, and L-VIS 1990 to also perform tonight at Output. The opening acts are diverse as Been Trill themselves. Their sets are usually a mixed bag of the newest Hip-Hop, Trap remixes, some down tempo chillwave, and even some indie dance. In their latest 3 part mix tape the boys at Been Trill threw in tons of tracks to dance to. Maya Jane Coles, Disclosure, and LOUISAHHH!!! are just some of the names part of Been Trills ‘In The Field’ mixtape trilogy. The duo doesn’t pop up in New York very often and we’re sure they’ll have some treats for Kanye fans. After you see Yeezus at the Barclay’s Center head over to Output and keep the night going. It’s been 5 years since Kanye has performed solo in New York, tonight is definitely something special.
