March 30th, 2012, marks the beginning of Rock N Roll Resort, a three day electronic and livetronica music and art festival blowout. This one of a kind festival takes place at the breathtaking Kutshers Resort in Monticello, NY, in the heart of the Catskill Mountains. Ticket prices include a room in the hotel, food for the weekend, and of course a three day pass to all of the acts, with single day passes available as well. It is not very often that a festival of this type takes place at a comfortable resort opposed to the typical outdoor camping grounds, so this is one to not miss.
Some of the bigger names on the bill such as Conspirator, Brothers Past, and Dopapod are playing two sets, whereas the other artists are each playing one set. Along with other bigger acts such as Ott and Jeff Bujak, there are a great deal of smaller acts performing as well, including Mun, Dirty Paris, The Cosmic Dust Bunnies, Horizon Wireless and more. Although most artists on the bill can be considered part of the electronic music scene, many root from diverse sub-genres, causing a healthy variety of sound that any electronic music enthusiast can enjoy.
Not only is this festival an epic display of unique, psychedelic, and danceable music, but there will also be demonstrations from well known visual artists such as Alex Grey, Mitch Shultz, and Jonathan Singer. Also, Dr. Rick Straussman, scientist and author of, DMT: The Spirit Molecule, will be making an appearance as well.
Aside from the music and art demonstrations, there will be themed nights, reasonably priced drinks, and group activities. For more details including the full line-up, tickets, and other information, visit the website here.
