In the chaotic world of today’s EDM where there are so many similar releases, the lines that distinguish a producer’s sound are at times not only blurred but completely wiped away. Artists like 18-year-old Madeon is a definite shining star of today’s scene, his productions have been consistently unique, harmonic, and full-sounding it makes the other innovators in the industry look a bit silly.
And his newly released EP “The City” is no different. After switching from an EP release to a number of singles in 2012, this EP shows off not only the Frenchman’s own productions of the title track and a live version of “Icarus”, but gorgeous drum and bass remixes from genre titans Netsky and Fred V & Grafix.
