Flume Headlines MTV Artists to Watch at Hammerstein Ballroom

Music was resurrected in the form of an Artist named Flume, the Aussie headlined MTV’s Artist’s to Watch Music Event at Highline Ballroom on April 14th. To put it simply Flume is the future of electronic music, his deep house sound is used by a new wave of artists, like Disclosure.

The night was opened by The Chainsmokers, the new boys in the electronic music spotlight. Their set was filled with big room productions including their popular single ‘SELFIE’. The audience in attendance enjoyed the performance and their 30-40 minute set was enjoyable.

It was during the beginning of Flume’s set that it became evident to me that the crowd was there to see the Australian. His sound completely shifted the aura of the night and made me forget The Chainsmokers were even in the same event! It was that good. It was one of the most respectful and mature crowds I have ever been to in my career of attending events. Flume’s sound continues to revolutionize the electronic music world and has completely captivated me. MTV definitely pulled a full house with this selection.

Flume is rightfully an artist to watch.
