The next Major Lazer album will be finished by ‘the end of the year’, according to Jillionaire on Austrialian radio. Consisting of Diplo, Jillionaire, and Walshy fire, this will be their third studio album for the Dancehall crew. There was a huge gap in between Major Lazer’s first and second album, but the gap between ‘Free The Universe’ and the upcoming album won’t be as painful a wait.
‘We’ve had a crazy [touring] schedule,” he said. “I think we’ve been touring for the last 18 months. It’s been crazy, it’s been hectic, it’s been a lot of fun. I think that once this year shuts down we’re gonna pull it back in and do a lot less touring. Right now we’re going in to a bunch of writing sessions for the next album, and hopefully we’re gonna finish that off by the end of the year. It should be out sometime next year.’
