NEWS: The DJ Soccer Games Set To Kick Off Wednesday @ Noon
Starting as a pipe dream from tweets between Tiesto and Sebastian Ingrosso, The DJ Soccer Games have morphed into a reality.
In just two days the Netherlands will take on Sweden. As both nations are among the top tier in terms of regional dance music, they will handle business on the pitch rather than the DJ booth.
Team Netherlands looks to be the favorite going in. Led by team captain Tiesto, he will bring Afrojack, Nicky Romero, Quintino, Sidney Samson, R3HAB, Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano on to the field.
Sweden will be anchored by captain Ingrosso. His roster features Alesso, Adrian Lux, Dada Life, AN21 and Otto Knows.
The two sides will play two 30-minute half’s, which may be as much cardio they have all had since grade school. Their positions have not been assigned yet.
Sweden looks to be moving up a weight class, but their national team did beat the Dutch back in Oct. 2011, 3-2.
