Valentines Day single from Erick Morillo and Eddie Thoneick that was world premiered by the one and only Pete Tong before its official release today. Typical to the duo’s past releases like ‘Stronger‘, ‘Nothing Better‘ and ‘Live Your Life‘ it soars with great vocals from Skin; feel good vibes regardless of February 14th opinions.

This is not a brand new track if you are familiar with the tech-house scene but its rather a growing classic among the genre. ‘Point’ originally dropped a little over a year ago on February 7th, 2011 by the Italian maestros, Nicola Daniele and Cesare Marocco aka NiCe7. Released on GRUUV Records, ‘Point’ has that ultimate desired tech house sound with the funky bassline, catchy loop samples and an almost-tribal lead. This track was included in multiple tech-inspired sets by many DJs around the globe all throughout last year. Overall, this track is a must have if you are a fan of the genre because it will have you dancing wherever you are; work, school, driving on the way to dinner with your valentine (Happy Valentines Day!), your grandmother’s house, etc.
Take a peep at this gloriously awkward video as A-Trak looks horrendously out of place on a beach (he is Canadian, they probably don’t even have beaches) in full clothing with SI swimsuit model Jessica Gomes. The pair then move from the model’s domain to a record store – a location where A-Trak is clearly more comfortable. The scene is kind of adorable, with A-Trak, who is clearly a nerd, teaching the pretty girl a few trade secrets about record scratching. Hot girls, DJs – this video can’t lose! A-Trak created a track for SI and Ray-Ban called, oddly enough, ‘Ray Ban Vision.’ The instrumental version is the soundtrack for the clip so take a look!
We previewed the Tim Mason remix to this tune a while back and today marked the release of a monster remix package to Zedd’s original ‘Stars Come Out.’ Featured on the Dim Mak imprint, the package includes mixes by Lazy Rich, Tim Mason, John Dahlback and more. Each remix tends to stick to each artist’s style- some nice simple progressive house out of Tim Mason and a more electro heavy mix by Lazy Rich. Dahlback continues to discover new sounds in the studio as his productions are becoming more adventurous (compare to some of his early originals i.e. ‘Olympia‘). Head over to the Dim Mak soundcloud page if you’d like to hear remixes by Datsik and Terravita.
