Since his success with the Black Eyed Peas, Will.i.am has demonstrated that selling yourself can come with great reward. From the auto-hyperlinked name ‘Will.i.am’ (which redirects to his main website), to his pre-hashtagged songs like #ThatPower, the man is a genius at self-branding and complete commercialization.
His music, much of which is fairly bland and band-waggoned off of already successful artists (anyone remember that collaboration with Wolfgang Gartner?), utilizes key endorsers to el ...Read More

Interesting and unexpected preview from 2/3′s of the Swedish House Mafia and one of Sweden’s most talked about new comers.
Debuting on Sebastian Ingrosso’s first installment of Refune Radio, ‘Ellipse’ follows the pattern of new sounds the Swedish House Mafia and their affiliates have been toying with. Not just big-room progressive anymore, but delving into electro, aspects of dub step and, on this track, a touch of acid house.
No release details are available as of now, but we will continue to track its progress.

It’s a big day for Sebastian Ingrosso and his label Refune Records. First the introduction of Otto Knows to the world via a preview for his track ‘Million Voices.’ The podcast features both old and new from Refune, along with an invitation for an exclusive after-party featuring never before heard bootlegs from Ingrosso and friends. The mix is simply slamming and it’s great that this is just the beginning of a series of shows. win/win!

Nicole Moudaber, the new techno sensation originally hailing from the UK, was once an NYC club promoter known for setting up some of the most memorable parties the Big Apple had ever seen. She has since flown across the world, starting out by re-defining the EDM nightlife scene in Beirut and then straying away from the promoting scene to embark upon a production career. She began to produce her own personal style of music, which we now know and love: a booming, bass filled sexy version of techno. She caught the attention of legend Carl Cox and he became a mentor for her quickly progressing production career. Nicole played alongside Cox in Ibiza all summer, in addition to throwing her own killer parties at Ushuaia Ibiza with Danny Tenaglia.
She has guest mixed for some of the greats such as John Digweed, Carl Cox and Adam Beyer. Her brand new Feline EP has infected the Beatport top 10 Techno charts with its infectious sounds. Nicole took some time out of her hectic schedule to answer some questions we’ve been dying to know answers to, such as: what sort of advice Carl Cox gave her before her big debut at Space, Ibiza; her trajectory as a promoter moving to Beruit; her up and coming record label ‘MOOD Records,’ a pretty crazy story about her Beyer guestmix and many more!
Nicole will be performing at Cielo on February 9th 2012 for Dance.Here.Now’s Thursday night festivities. Be sure to get Tickets HERE or put yourself on the Guest-list HERE for open bar for an hour before entry at 11 pm.

Left-coast turned bi-coastal production team Cristalino made a darling booty of the old favorite Tim Berg – Seek Bromance and current electro mega-hit Alesso & Sebastian Ingrosso – Calling. Separately, each is fire, together, they inspire a nuclear reaction. The Cristalino duo, Dustin & Amir, is both dashing in looks and on the decks, making a name for themselves playing NYC underground parties and they are now on the cusp of rising up. Check out their newest mashup, a trademark Cristalino Ms. New Booty. Tell us what you think!

Sebastian Ingrosso is known for his ability to spot young producers with potential (see: Alesso). He also apparently has an infinity for those who boast double consonants in the name (IngroSSo, AleSSo, OTTo). Perhaps this is a thematic trend? In any event, the newest addition to Ingrosso’s Refune Records crew is fellow Swede Otto Knows. A few weeks ago Ingrosso implored his followers to follow Otto – hinting that he would be the next protege coming out of the stable. This new preview for ‘Million Voices’ proves that Ingrosso was correct in telling people to follow Otto – it is a catchy, droppy masterpiece. The teaser only makes me want to hear more – which we will, Feb. 8 when the entire track is released on Refune Records.
My DEFEP friends are back with another banger, this time released on Lazy Rich’s imprint Big Fish Recordings. Well, its only one half of DEFEP, but nonetheless the track is a banger. It definitely has that robust, Zedd-esque sounding synth that has been destroying dance floors as of late. Pick up both tracks from the EP on Beatport HERE! Support these dudes. They are the best thing coming out of Orlando, FL since Universal Studios. But for real, I have met them and have been following them for a minute, and each release/bootleg out of all 4 members (KillaGraham, Henry Fong, DallasK, Nymz) has been better and better.
Can you believe Christmas was a month ago today? Where does the time go? Mostly at the venues below. This week, pick a show and go, it would be hard to get it wrong. Also check out some of the huge names due to come to NYC in the coming weeks in the recently announced shows section!
Pierce Fulton is a homegrown producer as American as apple pie, hailing from Vermont and now tearing up the decks coast to coast. On Friday he closed at Pacha following Calvin Harris and Nicky Romero and really tore down the house. Here is a teaser of a grinding electro track entitled ‘Who Wants Spaghetti.’ I’m not a huge fan of carbs but this tune is dope. Look for the whole thing to be released Feb. 13 on CR2 records.
Generation 303 is one of those acid banging tracks that we can’t wait to have a full copy of. Crafter Nicky Romero posted a preview for the complimenting video to his YouTube just a few minutes ago. Be SURE to grab the track for yourself Feb. 6 when its released on fellow Dutchman Tiësto’s label Musical Freedom!! In the meantime, get a glimpse of the video and the young Mr. Romero doing his thing!
