PREVIEW: Henrik B – Acid Rocker (Original Mix + David Tort Remix)

Before I even get into these two big tunes, I have to ask a quick question to our readers. Is anyone else extremely excited for the amount of amazing electronic dance music that will be played in NYC this weekend. Like wow…WOW! Friday is Boys Noize at Webster Hall with BNR label head Housemeister opening (tickets here), and Saturday Night is Avicii at Pacha  with Dutch prodigies Sunnery James and Ryan Marciano opening (tickets here). Last time I saw Avicii at Pacha, his edits blew me away. Last time I saw Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano opening for Fedde Le Grand and Erick Morillo, they dropped their track ‘Birambi‘ and it honestly changed my life! If this isn’t enough, Axwell and Thomas Gold are playing as well on Saturday at Roseland Ballroom (tickets here). At least 2 EO members will be present at all of these shows, and they are not to be missed. I must say though, choosing between Avicii and Axwell Saturday night is harder than choosing between Scarlett Johansen and Brooklyn Decker. Speaking of Avicii, he has been supporting the hell out of both the original ‘Acid Rocker’ and the David Tort remix in his live sets, and for good reason. The original is a super funky house track that reminds me of ‘Pacha On Acid’ by Afroajck. The remix is just as good and feels a bit more appropriate for a big room. Enjoy both and let EO know if you want to meet up at Boys Noize, Avicii, or Axwell!! And don’t forget to check the blog after the weekend for reviews of the shows.
