PREVIEW: Paul Thomas – Buzz Killington

Paul freakin’ Thomas, this guy seriously has a light shining down on him with multiple big name record labels fighting each other over signing his massive tracks. A Paul Thomas track is kind of like when you know Aaron Rodgers is going to be first pick in your fantasy league and its just a given he’ll be taken instantly. His tracks were signed by labels such as SIZE, Toolroom, Doorn, Ultra, Sander Kleinenberg’s Little Mountain Recordings, Gareth Emery’s Garuda, Spinnin’ Records, 303lovers and more. This emerging EDM artist has really caught a grasp on producers worldwide obtaining cross-genre support from some of the top tech house artists such as Mark Knight, big named progressive artists like Steve Angello and even some of the games top trance producers like Gareth Emery and Sander van Doorn. Multiple artists beg this guy to remix their tracks, even the almighty Deadmau5. Tracks like Paul Thomas’ ‘Ultraviolent’ hit number 1 on the progressive beatport charts and within the top 10 overall upon its release. Also, his ‘VAMP’ is still heavily impacting the overall and progressive charts. No wonder why he is such a record label gem. This brand new track released on Funkagenda’s Funkfarm records, ‘Buzz Killington’ is just the tip of the iceberg for Paul’s 2012 production season. The track is unbelievable. the first build into the kick instantly hits you in the face with no hesitation and just leaves you grooving to the beat. The progressions and background synths all compliment each other equally. Kind of like how well pizza and beer goes together, wine and cheese, you know. This is the kind of track that you could hear be dropped in any kind of set, it has that sound that every genre can relate to. Overall ‘Buzz Killington’ is going to be a big release for the beginning of 2012. Look out for Paul Thomas, this guy is so underrated. He is going to be the Chuck Norris of EDM.
