Lazy Rich – Brainfreeze

By Tessla (@tessla22) on January 22nd 2013

Lazy Rich, the UK native and Canadian resident releases ‘Brainfreeze’ off the world’s leading dance label Spinnin’ Records. He has done remixes for top artists such as Deadmau5, Lady Gaga, Fatboy Slim, Zedd, Morgan Page, and Porter Robinson just to name a few. Lazy rich collaborated with Chris lake in 2012 for the hit track ‘Stand Alone’ that hit the scene with unique vocals from Jareth and a mix of his Electro beats along with Chris Lake’s Techy sounds. ‘Brainfreeze’ rolls extremely well with nice synths that lead up to a heavy bass-line which reminds us of a signature Tommie Trash noise. Lazy Rich has a unique Electro House melody, and look out for me big things in the upcoming months.

Sander van Doorn & Julian Jordan – Kangaroo

By MichelleKUPP (@MichelleKUPP) on August 20th 2012

Sander van Doorn is on a roll, and his new track with Julian Jordan ‘Kangaroo’ will surely fall upon welcome ears when he (likely) plays it during Electric Zoo. High pitched synths are the hallmark of the production until robotic vocals scream ‘rock the beat’ and the track launches into a slightly glitchy almost dubstep influenced chorus that wouldn’t be out of place at a Skrillex show. It’s hard to believe that Jordan is only a teenager, but SvD is right to see something in the youngster, as he already has impressive releases under his belt considering his tender age.

Digitalism V’s Tommy Trash – Falling

By MichelleKUPP (@MichelleKUPP) on July 12th 2012

Falling‘ can only be described as deeply mesmerizing, a signature move on Digitalism’s part, but a slight deviation from the Tommy Trash’s typical style of dirty ripping sawtooth leads meets big room progressive.

Out July 23 on Dutch powerhouse label Spinnin’ Records, the retrofitted official video is a good teaser for a track you will almost certainly want to have for your own.

Sander van Doorn & Mayaeni – Nothing Inside (Julian Jordan Remix)

By MichelleKUPP (@MichelleKUPP) on June 19th 2012

‘Nothing Inside,’ for those of you who haven’t been to a house show in the past two months, is the biggest new tune from Sander van Doorn with vocals from Mayaeni. Emotive tracks with big female vocals aren’t anything new, but Mayaeni’s words are designed specifically for the production and thus have an advantage over all of the Adele and Florence and the Machine remixes.

Coming off hot from his original track ‘Oxford‘ with TV Noise, Julian Jordan is perhaps a prodigy in his own right. Heavily supported by SvD, his remix of ‘Nothing Inside’ displays his already recognizable style first hand. Nothing was needed to enhance the track, but Jordan makes it his own.

Bingo Players – Rattle (Candyland Remix)

By Staff on June 14th 2012

The Bingo Players this year came to fame with their huge track ‘Rattle’ and have achieved complete stardom. They’ve produced other bangers like ‘L’amour’ and have distinguished their unique style. Their simple but huge beats are the foundation for their catchy tunes and have allowed their tracks to be easily identifiable.

About a week ago, Candyland officially released their remix of ‘Rattle,’ through Spinnin’ Records. This track was the winner of the Beatport vs. Ableton Rattle remix battle. The remix of ‘Rattle’ includes sounds of dubstep, moombahton and electro. Candyland’s remix of ‘Rattle’ morphs the simple banger into a grungy, headrocking, drumstep tune that seems to prove Candyland’s ability to make things BIGGER and LOUDER. The Santa Barbara duo, Candyland, flawlessly includes a dramatic tempo change later in the song that really keeps the party rockin.

PREVIEW: Hard Rock Sofa & Squire – Just Can’t Stay Away

By MichelleKUPP (@MichelleKUPP) on June 6th 2012

Spinnin’ is getting busy today, as a new preview from Sander van Doorn artist of the week Hard Rock Sofa is now live – a collaboration with Squire entitled ‘Just Can’t Stay Away.’ Along with a teaser of the actual track, go inside Hard Rock Sofa’s studio and hear what they have to say about ‘Can’t Stay Away.’

The Swedes and the Dutch definitely have another set of countrymen to contend with – the Russians. With Swanky Tunes, Matisse & Sadko, Arty, Eitro and many others gaining traction in the house music arena internationally, we’d say the odds are high that next year the DJ Soccer Games will need at least two rounds.
