Unfortunately, all good things must come to an end, however, luckily for all the animals of Electronic Zoo, Sunday’s Main Stage will certainly ensure that the weekend goes out with a bang (of confetti, most likely). The superstar studded lineup features some of the biggest names in electronic music, with each producer specializing in his own weapon. Though the stage will most likely be crowded, any one of the sets has the potential to show you exactly why they save the best for last. In order to prepare for the days leading up to the end, be sure to read up on our previous guides below.
The last time Dash Berlin made a visit to Lavo, he kept the fun going into the wee hours of Christmas Day as the headliner for the club’s Christmas Eve party. If you were stuck at home in an ugly, itchy sweater with the family that evening, reverse your FOMO and check out the Dutch trance man tomorrow when he returns to the midtown house music den.
DB is well known for his ‘dashups’ including the one below that juxtaposes his track with ATB ‘Apollo Road’ versus Niki and The Dove’s ‘DJ Ease My Mind.’ He has a handy knack for creating unique trance infused bootlegs that never fall flat during a live show.
Dash Berlin with ATB vs. Niki And The Dove – DJ Ease My Apollo Road
Most recently Dash held a big show on Governors Island with a few close friends, and he will be returning in just a week for a set at Electric Zoo on the main stage Sunday at 3:30 PM. Make it a priority to check him out during at least one of his appearances in the Big Apple in the coming days.
Made Event turned one of NYC’s most festival-like venues into a trance mecca June 30, complete with a breath taking view of the New York City skyline. Simply being on the line to enter saw smiles on everyone’s faces, as they were preparing for uplifting, and euphoric sets from NYC’s own Zack Roth, Tritonal, and of course – Dash Berlin.
Not only did this event already have a fantastic line-up, but rumors ran freely that Dash Berlin would be playing a three hour set – putting the anxiety levels for his time to hit the decks were at an all time high. What better way to open up for Dash? Tritonal! Having seen Dave and Chad several times over the past couple of years, their energy never fails. The dynamic duo has chemistry that is visibly shown in every single one of their sets. From jumping over the CDJ’s into the crowd to just giving each other constant high-fives, it is clear they enjoy what they are doing. In a nutshell, Tritonal did an amazing opening “trouse” set that included many tracks such as the Maison & Dragen remix of Armin’s ‘We Are Here To Make Some Noise’ (Maison & Dragan Remix)” as well as their euphoric ‘Everafter.’
As the world was listening to the ASOT 550 live broadcast from Ultra, EO sat down with some of the artists gracing the decks and stage of the mythical tent throughout the day. First is the energetic and talented Dash Berlin, hailing from The Hague. After three days of non-stop music, Dash Berlin’s pure enthusiasm and genuine charm were a refreshing breath of air and a reminder about why the electronic scene is so amazing. He just announced the title of his new album slated for release April 27, ‘Music Is Life,’ and after chatting with Dash for only a few seconds, it is obvious how he chose to name his album. His musical passion was evident right off the bat and its clear that for him, music truly is life. Listen to his interview and learn that his first experience with dance music came from his older sister and rather than dancing with his friends at clubs he stared straight at the DJ until one day, he asked to join. The rest is history.

To kick off an impressive electro filled President’s Day Weekend bill at Lavo NYC, Italian stalwart Benny Benassi takes the decks tomorrow, Feb. 16. Considering that Skrillex’s remix of Benassi’s track ‘Cinema‘ just won a Grammy for Best Remixed Recording, you’ll be sure to hear it live on Thursday.
Cedric Gervais will spin Friday night, which may make your choice about what to do that evening tougher, given the number of very stellar NYC events that evening.
Saturday brings Armin van Buuren supported Dash Berlin for a dose of progressive-trance heat, with EO on hand to check the Dutch group out first hand!
