Fresh off his remix of Imagine Dragon’s ‘Radioactive,’dBerrie brings us another hot single made to please packed clubs. “Malfunction” is now out on Flamingo Recordings, which also released his current top single on Beatport, “Zenith.”
Starting off with a bouncing electro house beat, the song builds into a dramatic progressive sound before breaking down into dBerrie’s signature house style, sure to destroy dance floors wherever he goes. This track by a New York favorite has already received praise from giants like Fedde le Grand and Thomas Gold.
This past Wednesday satellite radio’s best, SiriusXM, invited the boys from The Generation Wild Tour to visit them in their fishbowl studio in Midtown Manhattan, and the result was a little wild. Deniz Koyu, Danny Avila, dBerrie and Mikael Weermets played tunes back to back to back while photographer Kirill bounces around taking photos and surely bemoaning his inability to champagne facial anyone; after all it is a sort-of recording studio.
Koyu, star of the tour made spinning records look effortless as he soaked up the adulation of the surprisingly large, and incredibly good looking crowd in the Sirius HQ. Avila, seemingly always eager to show off his skills really took the CDJ’s to task and dropped his own mashup of “Hells Bells” “Turbulence” and “Going Hard”. Danny is also a bit of a ham, making faces and interacting with the small audience clearly enjoying the moment. New York boy dBerrie made sure he wouldn’t be forgotten really pumping the bass in the small enclosed space and dropping the Tommy Trash vs. The Aston Shuffle track, “Sunrise (Won’t Get Lost)”.
The biggest revelation of the night was the prowess and stage presence of Mikael Weermets. Weermets played the people as well as some great tunes drinking in the crowds energy and spitting it back out with hand claps, and screams. No slouch on the turntables either Weermets at one point played string of hot tracks consisting of, in order, “Praise You”, “Lunar”, “Antidote”, “Flashback” (by Scott Sparks & Jewelz) into “Here We Go”. Amazing stuff.
The Generation Wild Tour is still happening and may be hitting a city near you, check here for the remaining dates. And if you hate the regular radio (and we know you do) then you really need to get SiriusXM. Interviews, special DJ sets, great music, what’s not to love?

NYC based dBerrie is bringing the party out east – to Mister East that is. The brand new club has been host to a slew of big names, including A-Trak and Manufactured Superstars, since its recent opening and now dBerrie can be added to that record. You may have seen dBerrie at any one of his recent gigs, including at Cielo, Cosmic Opera, Santos Party House and La Zarza, along with hearing his progressive reworks such as his remix of Gotye which literally everyone is playing.
If you want to be a boss and see dBerrie VIP with a pal this Saturday at Mister East, all you have to do is fill out this handy dandy form and cross your fingers. Winner will be announced at the end of the week. Good luck!
EO favorite dBerrie (David Berrie) is back under the guise of his progressive house moniker for a massive release, ‘Voices,’ on Fedde Le Grand and Funkerman’s imprint Flamingo Records. Most of you will likely remember that Fedde put dBerrie’s Gotye on the map back in March when he played it on the main stage at Ultra. Since then, asking whose remix of Gotye is being played during a set inevitably elicits the answer ‘dBerrie’s – duh!’
Thus it is an exciting turn of events that dBerrie originals are now reaching the light of day. With a supporter like superstar Fedde in his corner, and superior production talents, dBerrie will undoubtedly be one of the names that come to the forefront of house music in no time.
