This week, the Monday Mix was done by UK dubstep and drum & bass producer Eddie K. Eddie K has a very interesting introduction into the scene as a driver for artists like Mary Anne Hobbes and DJ Fresh back in 2006. He’s come a long way since then, having been signed to D-Style Recordings, Stereotype, and H.E.N.C.H. with six releases under his belt. In 2010, he released ‘Serial Killa‘, a collaboration with Minus featuring vocals from Beezy, which easily became one of the biggest dubstep tracks of the year. His most recent release ‘Dark Ages‘, also a collaboration with Minus featuring vocals from Beezy, has become almost an anthem for dubstep purveyors across the globe, seeing plays in countless mixes and on radio shows on BBC Radio 1, BBC Radio 1 Xtra, etc over the past year. Check out Eddie K’s Soundcloud for all his latest original tracks, remixes, and mixes!

This week, the Monday Mix was done by NYC-based moombah production duo Sazon Booya aka Mr. Vega and DJ SAV. Over the past year and a half, Sazon Booya has really exploded onto the scene with early support from the likes of Dave Nada, Munchi, Skrillex, Heartbreak, and more. In July of 2011, they released their debut ‘La Bomba‘ EP on Rot10 Musik with tracks reaching as high as #14 on the Beatport top 100. Since then, they’ve had 15+ releases including their ‘Moonlight‘ EP which reached #4 on the Beatport Top 5 Releases. They are represented by both Rot10 and Skrillex’s label OWSLA. Their live performance is a sight to behold as well. With the help of Mystereo (their hype man who is usually donned in a mask, studded denim vest, and bouncer hands dragging him off stage) they can get any crowd jumping. If you’ve never seen them live, you can catch them on stops of the Bros Gone Wild tour and Moombah Massive dates later this Summer. Also be sure to check out their Soundcloud for all their latest original tracks, remixes, and mixes!
