 PREVIEW: Ken Loi EP Sampler

EMT by day, producer by night, San Franciscan Ken Loi gained traction in the electronic world via his incredibly popular bootlegs. EO is especially fond of The Ting Tings – Hands (Ken Loi Remix).

Ken opened for resident DJ Kaskade last weekend at Marquee in Las Vegas, and in the past few months has taken on opening duties during Tiësto’s constant touring. Also, Tiësto named him Breakthrough DJ/Producer of 2011 on his DJ Mag’s Top 100 DJ poll.

Feb. 21 Ken is releasing his new EP on Big Beat Records, of which he was kind enough to create a sampler mix of the six tracks. It’s like a pu-pu platter of electro – delectable! Thus whet your appetite for the real thing with the stream below. Yummmmm!

Kaskade Marquee NEWS: Kaskade To Begin Exclusive Marquee LV Residency

In keeping with the new tradition of EDM DJs taking over Las Vegas clubs, Marquee LV in the Cosmopolitan has just announced that Kaskade will start a residency Jan. 14. We just saw Tiësto starting his residency at XS and last night he had a live Twitter concert straight from the club. 2012 is already shaping up to be a rather insane year EDM wise and Kaskade is another addition to this trend. Kaskade just spun an epic 12 hour set on New Years Eve at Marquee and we can only forsee bigger and better things (24 hour set??) in the future. But we are left with the question, how does one use the restroom during a half day DJ set? Some things are better left unsaid we suppose… Peep the preview video below! Looks amazing!!

Clubplanet Announces Top 10 Dance Clubs

By MichelleKUPP (@MichelleKUPP) on December 16th 2011

marquee Clubplanet Announces Top 10 Dance Clubs
Clubplanet published its list of the Top 10 Dance Clubs in the country today. Their top pick was Strategic Group’s Marquee LV, which just celebrated its first birthday and is the baby brother of NYC’s 8-year veteran Marquee.

NYC got some love with Cielo at #4 and Pacha at #9. The soundsystem alone at Cielo is enough to make it to the top venue in the city for real music lovers and the names that Pacha draws elevate the space to the next level.

Do you agree with the list? Any spaces that you would have added? Hit up the comments!
