This week, the Monday Mix was done by STINKAHBELL, the London-based dubstep duo comprised of Urban/Hip Hop producer Nutty P and MC/producer Janset. The two formed STINKAHBELL in 2008 and have received an amazing amount of support over the past couple years. Their tracks ‘Something In Your Eyes‘ (Sin City Recordings) and ‘Don’t Tell Mum About Ibiza‘ (Terrorhythm Recordings), which were released last September and October, quickly became a staple in sets and received support from the likes of huge names such as Plastician, Skream, Benga, MistaJam, Rusko, Trolley Snatcha, Jakes, Kutz, Noah D, Hatcha, Diplo, and Joker just to name a few. Their next release is the highly anticipated collaboration with Psy:am ‘Hot Poo’ (check out the video that just dropped HERE!) which is due out on Plastician’s label Terrorhythm Recordings on May 28. Be sure to also check out their Soundcloud for all their latest original tracks, remixes, and mixes!

This week, the mix is by the Tri-State area’s very own Max Mischief. Max Mischief is part of the NYC-based Bass Fueled Mischief family (which is how we found him). I caught him playing at both the BFM MartyParty show (review here) and the BFM Noah D show (review here) last weekend and he is an absolute sick DJ. During his sets, he plays a lot dungeon vibes, grime, and UK bass. Without further ado… (Max Mischief mixed this set on two Technic 1210s and a Pioneer 909 mixer & Serato.)

This past friday, BFM:BKLYN and Sub Swara hosted a ridiculous night at Public Assembly in Williamsburg with a crazy line up of Max Mischief, Hellfire Machina, Noah D, and Sub Swara. Bass Fueled Mischief never ceases to impress, as they always live up to their name, and they’re always ALL about the music. (To be honest, I was slightly worried about this show as the venue was pretty empty at the beginning of the night, but it ended up getting PACKED before midnight and stayed that way until the night ended. It was an absolute party.) The night was MC’d by Posi-D, of course, who’s always really fun and is a total crowd-pleaser. (Did anyone else hear him sneak in a Chuck D verse? Haha.)

This Friday, Bass Fueled Mischief and Sub Swara are teaming up to bring one of the top dubstep producers from the US to NYC: Noah D! You guys might know Noah D from his hit track ‘Seeeriousss’ which became a full-fledged dubstep anthem in 2009, being dropped on virtually every dance floor in the world and is still being rinsed in sets today. His most recent track ‘Clash’ is currently holding a spot in the Beatport Dubstep Top 100.
If you came to BFM’s last event (MartyParty at DROM which SOLD OUT!), you know this night’s going to be absolutely ridiculous. The rest of the lineup includes Hellfire Machina, Sub Swara, and Max Mischief. The event’s being held at Public Assembly in Williamsburg (21+) and you can grab pre-sale tickets HERE. Doors are at 10pm… See you there!!
BFM and Electronica Oasis will also be holding a ticket giveaway on Twitter! One winner (21+) will receive a pair of tickets to the show and will be notified on Friday. To enter, tweet:
