Sneaky sneaky! It’s not often that a track with such a high level of anticipation as ‘Reload’ is released on a Saturday. Chances are you’ve heard the track during any number of live sets, but now you can purchase Sebastian Ingrosso and Tommy Trash’s anthem on Beatport as your own. Separately, each artist has a knack at producing resonating tunes, but together they have outdone themselves with ‘Reload.’ Get your copy now.
Marketing masters Swedish House Mafia have had you on the edge of your seat, playing a continuous guessing game about what their seemingly endless stream of three dot photos meant about their One Last Tour dates. In fact, the trio has likely held you in suspense since their announcement at the end of June that they would be splitting up following just one more jaunt around the world.
Now, today, the final update comes. For us in NYC, SHM will be returning to Madison Square Garden March 1, the site of their famed show in December that marked the first time a major dance music event was held at historic MSG. In addition, SHM will also be playing the fresh new Barclays Center March 2, which will be initiated as a venue in October by Sensation.
The full list of 24 tour dates is located at OneLastTour.com. Tickets go on sale Friday, Sept. 28 at noon (local time).

Ready to get spooky with the Refune boys? Sebastian Ingrosso, Alesso and Otto Knows (they sure seem fond of repeating consonants in their names…) want you to join them Halloween weekend (Saturday, Oct. 27)at Pier 94 in NYC and Nassau Coliseum in Long Island for some haunted house action along with their label’s brand of house music. Ingrosso is one of the masters; Alesso and Otto are two of his proteges so really, what are you waiting for?
In what seems to be a constant game of one upmanship on the event production front, today Pacha NYC announced that the cryptic All Mixed Up promo coming from Sebastian Ingrosso’s camp will be a massive two venue New York show with labelmates Alesso and Otto Knows Oct. 27. The shows will be held at Pier 94 (site of the infamous Avicii NYE party) from 9 PM – 4 AM and at Nassau ‘Haunted’ Coliseum (anyone hear a chopper on the horizon?) from 9 PM – 2 AM the same night.
Billboard revealed yesterday that Six Flags will be hosting a dance music show at its New Jersey location in conjunction with Area Events, with Alesso and Arty on the bill. Also of note is that Sensation USA will hold its second installment the same night as the All Mixed Up show. Hmmmm…everyone is trying to get in on the game it seems.
Tickets for the events go on pre-sale Friday, Aug 23. at 12 PM at IAmMixedUp.com.
Look at this double dose of throw backs! Two of the most supported tracks in EDM have made their way together via this brand new Hyperbits bootleg. Sebastian Ingrosso & Alesso’s ‘Calling’ – perhaps the most played track of 2011 lends it’s acapella mix (from the lose my mind version) over the track that started the Avicii craze back in 2010. The result, “Calling Bromance” – one of those tracks that does nothing but put a smile on your face. This bootleg is available for free download when you LIKE the Hyperbits facebook fan page HERE.

That’s all folks! The curtain will soon close on the prolific trio known as Swedish House Mafia. Today Axwell, Steve Angello and Sebastian Ingrosso took to the web to announce via their website that their current tour will be their last. Currently the last announced date is at the Friends Arena in Sweden November 24, but the site also promises an imminent news in August regarding additional parts of the tour.
Are we certain that the end is final? Perhaps not, but likely the individual members wanted to focus on their various individual projects, ranging from culturing young talent to leading successful labels. In the meantime cherish the memories that the Swedes have brought to the dance music world and perhaps take a peek at their documentary from Miami circa 2010.
Like a trip down memory lane, sets from EDC last weekend keep trickling in to remind those who were in attendance about just how great the weekend was. Sebastian Ingrosso’s set on the main stage was definitely one of the highlights, chock full of private edits and masterful re-works. Take a listen and re-live the magic…
Sebastian Ingrosso @ Electric Daisy Carnival New York
Production team Miike Snow has been creating quite the stir in the dance music world with his new album. However even more compelling for EDM fans are the remixes coming from some of the industry’s favorite names. Thomas Gold’s remix of ‘The Wave,’ dropped last night by Pete Tong during his Essential Selection, is a prime example.
Featured by Sebastian Ingrosso during the third edition of his Refune Radio podcast, if you’ve seen Ingrosso in recent weeks ‘The Wave’ has been an integral part of his sets. Gold is hyper talented and a doll to boot – check out the EO exclusive interview with the German bred producer – and most recently made a stunning appearance in NYC during the first act of Cosmic Opera.
No release date yet, but expect it out soon on Axwell’s label Axtone Records.
In case, somehow, there wasn’t enough house music this weekend for you to choose from, Sebastian Ingrosso announced 2 shows this weekend at Roseland Ballroom. The shows will be on Friday, April 6th, and Saturday, April 7th.
Ingrosso, and SHM in general, have been on an absolute tear the past few months, basically reaffirming that they are the worldwide kings of house music. From the aforementioned selling out the Garden, the Miami Masquerade Motel, releasing a friggin’ single that is sponsored by Absolut Vodka , and doing basically everything in between, the sky’s the limit for these guys. Summer’s right around the bend, and these guys ain’t going anywhere, and hopefully they have big things planned for the Big Apple.
Tickets for both Ingrosso shows this weekend can be purchased here.
