Geronimo The Knocks & Fred Falke Geronimo EP

The Knocks, the NY duo with the heart of (Santi)gold, have been having an outstanding year. From their standing ovation-worthy cover of M83′s ‘Midnight City‘ with Mandy Lee to their countless live sets on the NY indie dance circuit, they have proved to be concrete names in terms of both production and DJing.

Now, they’ve teamed up with legendary French house producer Fred Falke under, arguably, the most respected indie dance label, Kitsuné, for what will probably be one of the most celebrated indie releases of the year.

Beginning with the ‘Don’t wanna fall to the ground with me’ sample, ‘Geronimo’ takes us on an indie voyage from the original title to Louis La Roche’s vision, Aylen’s fix and Lenno’s wise-beyond-his-years remix.

La Roche gives us the French touch we’re used but adds an electro dab. Aylen expands on La Roche’s electro interpretation with a remix that is far too in-your-face for the occasion. Lenno, well Lenno, bested everyone with his retro take. More amazement from the Finnish prodigy.

Out today on Kitsuné.
