The Weekend Beat 5/30 – 6/5

First off, big shout out to Brooklyn. Along with the dub step events their various venues have been hosting, the borough looks to be in the midst of a house music renaissance. Get used to seeing some of your favorite DJs spinning at the birthplace of Christopher Wallace. Full week ahead with something to do everyday. Take a peep.

Where We’ll Be
Tonight, we will be at Lilium for Luka Son Of Wolf. We eagirly await live indie and nu-disco. Tomorrow, we will be at Santos Party House for Them Jeans. Friday, we desperately want to penetrate the walls of the ultra-snooty Provocateur for Seth Troxler. We dream, though. Saturday, we will be doing the dub step thing in Brooklyn at Drom. We’re giving away tickets for that here. G’luck. Recomendations, you say? dBerrie’s bounce boat party tomorrow (hash tag BoatsNhoes) looks to be spectacular. It’s tough to beat house music on a boat (shades of Ibiza.) It’s hard to beat anything on a boat, really. Also, Sander Van Doorn Friday at Pacha NYC. ‘Nothing Inside‘ live. Enough said. Oh, and if you can finagle your way into Provocateur, put in a good word to the doorman for us!

Recently Announced Shows
All events at the Brooklyn Terminal Project have been moved. As you saw above, Knife Party, who was to open up the new summer spot, will now be playing at Beekman Beach Club this Sunday. Loco Dice, Nic Fanciulli & Joris Voorn is still set for June 8, but the event will be at Dekalb Market.

Gigamesh will be at Hudson Terrace on June 7.

Hardwell will be at Mur.Mur in New Jersey on June 11.

The Governor’s Ball music festival will be held June 22 and 23 on Randall’s Island.

Bag Raiders & The Knocks will be at Webster Hall June 22.

Cedric Gervais (can you help me find Cedric?) has been announced as one of the many resident DJs at the new New Jersey super club, Revel.
