Today is the first day of summer. Fittingly, it is the first 90-degree day of the year in New York City. The heat is definitely here in terms of music too. Where We’ll Be
Thursday we will try to figure out which female DJ duo has captured our hearts more (impossible!) when we check out Rebecca & Fiona at Lavo. We will have Nervo in the back of our minds. Friday we will be checking out Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano. Always a techy treat, the spunky duo impressed us when we saw them last time at Pacha NYC on St. Patrick’s day. We hope they change up their set though. They’ve been playing the same stuff for a few months now. Sad face. Friday, we will also be at Webster Hall for the Bag Raiders and The knocks. We hope to hear this. Saturday, we will be at the Governor’s Ball music festival because why not? In the evening we’re off to Lavo for dBerrie. Sunday, we’ll ferry back to Randall’s Island for Day two of the Ball. We highly recommend the after party at the Brooklyn Bowl featuring Penguin Prison and Art vs. Science. Indie dance!
Recently Announced Shows
Eliot Lipp will be at Mercury Lounge with Ana Sia and Bekim on June 29 in celebration of his album release.
Pacha NYC has announced a slew of July shows. They will close June with Funkagenda on June 29. July will begin with Adrian Lux on July 6 and Alesso on July 7. Paul Oakenfold will return July 14. Bob Sinclar will take the decks on July 20 and Madeon will make his debut on July 28.
Alesso will be at Mur.Mur in New Jersey on July 2. Steve Aoki will be there July 30 and also at Mixx July 14.
Alan Braxe will be at Hudson Terrace on July 5.

The M83 North American tour dates have been announced. Aug. 8 at the Central Park Summerstage and Oct. 2 and 3 at the Hammerstein Ballroom.
