Throwback Thursday: Bart B More & Tommie Sunshine – Drop Acid EP

While some may have found acid through Nicky Romero‘s most recent chart-topper ‘Generation 303‘, it’s been around for awhile slowly coming back even bigger with help from these two guys listed above. Carrying both techno and electro house aspects ‘Drop Acid’ from Bart B More and Tommie Sunshine was released November 2010, supported by Calvin Harris, Laidback Luke, and Benny Benassi to name a few. ‘Bodywork‘ that came out on Calvin Harris’ Fly Eye label in 2011 was the sequel to what they coined big room acid. Probably the most dynamic sound in EDM, combined with huge electro elements that Bart and Tommie frequently produce, the acid tracks from them are grossly destructive. Steve Angello, who has his own homage to acid with ‘Teasing Mr Charlie‘ that was actually sampled by Afrojack on yet another 303 tribute ‘Pacha On Acid‘; supported the track along with A-Trak and Calvin Harris. The Musical Freedom release from Nicky puts the trippy sound on the map once again, but have a listen to this EP with remixes from NT89 and RipTide out on Bart’s Secure Recordings.
