Among all the noises that are associated with EDM there is none more appealing to me than the 303. The twisted squelching synth is what defines acid house, and ‘Bodywork’ has helped spark a renewal of the sub-genre that has deep roots in dance music history. The track itself is flawless in my opinion; I’ve seen it get dropped by Tommie at Pacha and Bart at Electric Zoo, the reaction is unanimous: underground anthem. Monstrous electronic claps, disgustingly warped builds, and some ominous scream-along rave lyrics provided by Mr. Sunshine himself…please do yourself a favor and get familiar with Bart B More & Tommie Sunshine collaborations. Preceding this bonus banger is Drop Acid which I’m not even sure how to describe. Big Room Acid maybe?! – according to Tommie’s soundcloud if you had to put a name on it. Well enjoy these folks, because 2012 marks the beginning of HORSEPOWER, a production trio made up of Bart B More, Tommie Sunshine, and RipTide…prepare accordingly.
