Universal Love – Ritmo Da Rua (Dirty South Edit)

When DJ/producers get back to their roots, it’s a sentimental experience for the fans. It’s about the same feeling you get as when you come up from under water after–exhale–holding your breath for a long time.
Dirty South, though well-versed and respected in the progressive world (rightly so,) hasn’t done anything like this in awhile. He decided to march down the hill during his latest Phazing Radio broadcast. Beginning the first half as ‘Ibiza’ then transitioning to the progressive stuff.
This edit stuck out not only because it led off the program, but because it’s an absolute tip-of-the-hat to true house. A track you can dance to. Not one where you have to wait three minutes for the big, commercial drop.
Applause are in order for Dirty South for not only updating a classic, but showing he hasn’t forgotten his roots.
