The annual Electric Zoo Festival descends on New York this weekend, and we’ve got all you need to know about the sets you can’t miss!
First of all, you can still buy tickets! The three-day passes and individual tickets, as well as VIP options, are still available for purchase on the website while supplies last.
The line-up this year is stacked and we’re always amazed by the amount of talented DJs Made Event can put together in one weekend, and the range of genres represented. There’s something for everyone this year.
Here are our pics:
The first day of EZOO is pretty tame compared to the rest of the line-up, and we think that’s just fine. Chill out, enjoy the vibes, and save your energy for the next two days. Close out the night with Gesaffelstein‘s DJ set at the Beatport Riverside stage and avoid the Main Stage names that are always in the city.
Jeremy Olander and Fehrplay
Although these guys are playing back-to-back at the Beatport Riverside stage instead of together, we can assure you that these two do not disappoint. They killed it at Mysteryland USA and we expect them to do even better with times allotted to the both of them individually.
Another memorable duo from Mysteryland USA, DVBBS has been making waves and topping the electro charts recently, but they can also play a heavy hardstyle set. We’re excited to see what they’ll come up with this time – will they bring hardstyle to Main Stage West?
Now we’re getting somewhere! The Saturday line-up is thick indeed, with trance heavyweights BT, Cosmic Gate, and Paul van Dyk. Close out the night with an extra dose of trance from legend Armin van Buuren, or catch Knife Party tearing down Main Stage East.
The Vinyl Only Stage
A fixture at Mysteryland USA, this small and beautiful stage created an intimate environment for DJs to really expand their sets into a few hours, all through the crisp and organic sound of vinyl. If you love the classics, this stage is for you. Stop by at least once during the festival to experience it.
The New York-native played a memorable set last year to close out the Sunday School stage and we expect only the best from this longtime house veteran.
We personally think Sunday has the best line-up and the most range, along with some new names we’re excited to see. Kaskade and Nicole Moudaber will close out the festival, bringing their respective electro house and techno talents to Main Stage West and the Sunday School tent.
We’re obsessed with his melodic take on dubstep that is all his own. Seven Lions will bring his epic stage show and beautiful music to the Hilltop Arena on Sunday evening, a perfect way to watch the sunset.
